Interwiew by Luis LandeoHails Sako welcome to Arsenal del Metalero, is nice to have this interwiew with you, how goes the projects in the band?
Thanks Luis... The band is currently getting ready to release the first full lenght album "Slanderous Society" which will be in the market around January.
The album will be released with "Show No Mercy" tour in India dates will be announced soon.
How the band started?The band started back in November 2010 by Serge and I after we dessolved our old project "TristMoon" "Symphonic Black Metal"
Well the first name of the band was:Tristmoon. why the band changed the name to: InnerGuilt?TristMoon was another project and was formed back in 2004 by old musicians (me, Jiro Elie and Adel) later on former members started to leave the band
due to lack of understanding and dedication... after welcoming Serge into the band both of us decided to dissolve TristMoon and start a whole new project: InnerGuilt.
The band is working in a new release: slanderous society, when is comming out this album? and how did the recording session go of this album?As i said previously the album will be in the market around January along with Indian tour "Show No Mercy". The recording of the album took place at PhatRack Studios "Beirut"... it was hard and challenging for us to record, mix and master the whole album in only 2 months.
Guitars Bass and Drums were recorded by Serge, I did the Vocal parts. Bassem and Sary both engineers, did an excellent job in the production, mixing and mastering of the album for now i can say to the readers to listen to the album teaser on our youtube channel and take an image of what to be released.
The band release a promotional single of this new album: Burden of guilt, what is the concept behind the lyrics of this song?Burden Of Guilt was released in 2010 since then the song got so much popularity in the region and beyond... The lyrics explains about the human's true color... you can read it in our biography and see the definition of InnerGuilt which is similar with the song's lyrics InnerGuilt is a one word that explains the authority’s power against the poor and the weak, The justice that always stands with the guilty… The Guilt that lives inside every person and it is reflective towards wealth, power and dissoluteness. It remains inside and denied by humans, who seem to be clean and white but yet, BEASTS. That's exactly the same concept of the song Burden Of Guilt.
Who is working in the art of this album? who is the person on the fontcover?Anastasiya Shylina, a tallented artist from Czech Republic... The artwork represents the world in chaos and the person is the one responsible the character could be a politian a bussinesman or even religious person.
Are you thinking give a tour for this 2012?yes the album will be released in "Show No Mercy" tour in Indian Cities... South America has one of the most enthusiastic metal music followers it would be our pleasure to play in there. We're still a new and fast rising band hopefully someday soon promoters and organizers in South America will be interested in InnerGuilt after the release.
How goes the lebannon metal scene?The Lebanese Metal Scene is small due to lack of supporters and investors... we have couple of good bands check them out on: http://www.lebanesemetal.com/ every couple of months we have local gigs going on in small pubs. A huge festival takes place only once a year or 2 years which is Beirut Rock Fest. But what i don't like is that they bring only rock bands like Anathema, Katatonia, To/Die/For, Moonspell(doom) I regret to say we have many political problems so nobody cares about the music nowadays.
