Hails Juliano and Gilson, welcome to the website, the band has released a new album this year: "The Loneliest Loneliness" how was the release of the album?
JULIANO: So, even after almost 12 years since we began, this album is our first full length, and it’s self-released.
GILSON: We’ve spent some time searching a record label to release our album, but the music industry isn´t the same as that was some years ago. We receive some excuses from one or two labels and we understood that is very hard to them to release a debut album from an unknown band.

GILSON: Man, the record sessions were very very hard! Really! About my takes, I want to say it was very hot inside the studio and sometimes I couldn´t play correctly. Juliano likes to bother me to repeat and repeat the takes to do a perfect performance too, hehe. And it was hard to my mates too, because they travel far from our place to record their takes in the studio of our producer ROGER FINGLE. We really work a lot on this album.
JULIANO: Yeah, for me I’ve spent really a lot of time on trying to search the perfect take, I’ve spent more than 10 hours to records some songs, I’m really a perfectionist and I keep obsessed trying to fix details that probably only I can listen now on the CD, but that´s the way. This was the second time we were working with Roger Fingle and it turns the things a little bit easier for all of us, but anyway we got really hard work to reach a great result for this CD.
JULIANO: Well, I could say we had lots of reasons for that. First place, on this first Demo we were really amateurs about the ‘music market’, so we didn’t a good job concerning the divulgation of this Demo. We’ve sent the Demo for a couple of Webzines and Magazines and that´s all, we got no trades with distros or labels, no shows or big response from the people. The years after the Demo’s release we spent just looking for shows to spread our music, but we have not a really good scene here for extreme music, so it´s not easy just book lots of gigs and show your work for a lot of people. Second place, everybody on the band has their own jobs, family, and we had not really too much time and money to think about a full release with the time and quality that we think a debut CD deserves. Some changes on the line up during these years have turned the things harder for us too. Briefly, we weren’t felling ready for this release, just on 2009 we looked at each other and said: “guys, now is the time to record and get our debut CD out!”.
GILSON: We know a lot of bands that comes from other Latin America countries like to sing their lyrics in Spanish, but for us is easier to sing in English. I don´t know exactly why, but I think all our lives we listened Metal music in English, so it´s natural to sing in this way too. And it´s hard to sing Death Metal in Portuguese too, it´s very difficult to combine this language with guttural vocals… But, in other way we like to combine more than only one language in our music, maybe in the future we will write one or two lyrics in Portuguese.
GILSON: Well, in philosophy and dark feelings, (laughs)… Actually I take inspiration in anything that happens around us or when I am reading great books or watching great movies.
JULIANO: Man, 2011 was the year when we started to see some dreams becoming into reality. We had our first European tour, playing 16 shows in six European countries, and we got, finally, our debut CD out. One of the next steps is some shows in South America, and until now we have just four dates on Argentina, we are still trading these dates, but I know that probably these gigs will take place on Buenos Aires and Rosario. We have some contacts on Peru and Chile too, but we need to start working on these places. We’ve started to work on the divulgation of our CD as soon as we got back from Europe, and it´s taking really a lot of time, so we are working as hard as possible to reach all the targets we have for the next year.
JULIANO: For the Argentinean dates I know about Buenos Aires and Rosario. We are exchanging some gigs with the band Diva Satanica, and their booking agency is taking care about the dates for us. About Chile, we need to get in contact with producers, for now we have just a couple of e-mails to send, but any interested producer can contact us, we really want to play at your country as soon as possible. May I give them our e-mail? Contact us at: onthegallows@gmail.com.
GILSON: We want to thank Arsenal Del Metalero to support Sodamned, and we wish your readers listen to our songs at our myspace www.myspace.com/sodamned. All the songs of the album are available to listen… That´s it guys… please continue supporting underground bands from Metal… Bang ´till Death!!!!
