Nice to meet you Walid, my first question, how was the release of the new album: Veni Vidi Vomui? by the way what mean this name and why you choose this name for the album?
It's a pleasure to meet you Luis. The album was received well worldwide and the majority of the metal community showed positive reactions to VVV. Veni Vidi Vomui stands for I came, I saw, I vomited. We chose this name for the album since it paints a fine image of how we perceive the era we live in.

The biggest difficulty was getting decent band equipment in our side of the planet. It was also our first experience in a decent studio so we had a lot to learn but we enjoyed the process as a whole.

The band was persecuted for a very long time by the local authorities. On the evening of the 21st of December 2003 we were arrested during our concert and were interrogated for 3 days. The charges were a link they made up between the band name (Chaotaeon) at the time, and satanism. They wanted to see satanism in the band's name and they did their best to twist it so that it sounds that way. Kaoteon is here and shall forever remain; we recorded our first demo (Provenance of Hatred) just 9 days after leaving jail and we got a label deal out of it. Provenance of Hatred shaped the direction of Extreme Metal in the region and is still is a pillar for the Lebanese Metal scene.

The VVV album has 2 songs in Arabic, the first is Jihannam wa Bi2sal Massir, and the second is Anthem of the Dead. The lyrics in these songs are for my motherland, they speak my mother tongue, and it's a message to my people. I see no reason to use the English language or any other foreign language used on our album. It is important to note though that we proudly speak our Lebanese dialect, derived from the Arabic language, but Arabic is our formal manner of writing.

We did our best to have the album artwork reflect the sound of the album. It is an image of a man, disgusted by the world he sees, vomited upon himself and gouged his eyes to refuse to take part.

The troubles with the police lasted till around 2007 but we managed to perform many times during these times nonetheless. The least to expect from us is to defy and stand up for our right. That's the first idea of Metal as a whole. Fuck them all, one by one!

We are looking forward to 2012 for we finally have some time to support the album with a few concerts. We'll see what the year has in store for us. We're very interested in extreme scenes and 3rd world countries.

I thank you for your time my brother in Metal and I hope to destroy the stage in Peru where we will sweat together for Extreme Metal. All the best, thank you for supporting this style of music, you guy are fucking Evil.
