Interview to Charbel Kareh from Nocturna

Nice to meet you Charbel, well can you tell some of how the band started? and why this name for the band?
It's a pleasure to meet you Luis. Nocturna was formed during summer of 2006 . the main genre of the band was gothic/doom metal that's why we chose the name "Nocturna". Nowadays the band plays Melodic death metal.The band released a single, and before of this interview you tell me you are thinking release a first full lenght what can you tell me about it?
Well we released our first single entitled " A Cannibal rose " in 2009 . we finished recording our full lenght and we're still working on the artwork and some secondary things.Do you think include the single into the new album? and why you released first a single?
A Cannibal Rose was the first song we ever composed , so we decided to record it and share it with our friends and fans so we can see their feedback. And yes, the single will be included in the upcoming album , but of course it was re-recorded with better Quality and with few variations.Well Nocturna is working in an independent way and without a recording producer. do you think work of this way is better than work with a recording producer and a label?
Working this way is not better than working with a producer and a label of course , but it's really hard to find one . we are already searching fora label so we can release the album locally and internationally.How goes the shows of the band in lebannon? and are you thinking in a tour for this year?
On the 9th of February 2007, Nocturna Went Live For The First Time at Nova pub and performed many times there later and at former venues such as Cherry's pub and big events such as Metal blast , Chapter III , The last call , Rocking the woods and the Finals of the Global battle of the band (GBOB) We received some offers to play outside lebanon but we should release our album first!!How was the recording session of this full lenght? and how was write th lyrics of this album?
we really enjoyed the recording sessions of the album and we used to spend a lot of time there. it was the first time we enter a professional studio since we recorded our first song in a home studio at our friend's place .
our drummer wrote the lyrics of the album exept 3 tracks written by me and a friend of mine.Do you have a message for Arsenal Del Metalero readers?
I would like to thank u for this interview and for your support to the lebanese metal scene and i hope that one day we will play live in peru ! and for arsenal del metalero readers , keep it metal brothers ! cheers
