Interwiew to Victor Mendonça from Lacerated And Carbonized

"The new album will be recorded this year"
Interwiew by Luis Landeo
Hello Victor tell me about the new projects of Lacerated And Carbonized?
At the moment we are writing new songs and focused in the recording of our second album, which will be record this year.
Last year you had a South American Tour which was made in order to promote your latest album "Homicidal Rapture".
What was your perception of Peru when you passed through this country? Which place of Peru did you like the most, Victor?
I already had good references from Peru, but getting to know the country personally was an unique experience. It was the country in which we made more gigs during the tour, and we just enjoyed every minute of our stay. It’s really hard to point out the places I liked the most, but I could tell the Arequipa concert we made with Monstrosity was awesome, maybe the best in the whole tour. Also, we had a great time in Trujillo. It’s really the people of Peru who make this country so special; we couldn’t be more well-received. I’m really looking forward to return as soon as possible.what do you think about peruvian food?
Seasoned and very nice! Most of the time in Peru we ate chicken, fries and salad. But we also enjoyed the traditional Ceviche and of course, Pisco. In this South American tour how is for you the south american Metal scene?
When we met the South American headbangers, we were truly impressed. They are friendly, helpful, warm-hearted and, above all, true worshipers of metal. We played at Juliaca and the temperature was around -6º (there was no heater) and, still, there were people going insane, spinning in the floor (Laughs). It was outstanding! And how is the brazilian Metal scene?
It is improving a lot. Brazil has excellent bands that you already have knowledge of, such as Krisiun, Unearthly, Violator, Confronto and others. We are having more and more great concerts and the bands as a whole are becoming more professionals.Lacerated and carbonized are friend with bands like: torture squad, Krisiun and Unearthly, exist the possibility of an metal split album with them?
At the moment, there are no talks at all in that sense. Anyway, they are all killer bands and we’re glad to have shared the stage with them. Are you thinking to produce a new album?
Like I said in the first question, the new album will be recorded this year. We have 3 songs more or less ready and too many ideas for the remainder. We want to record an album that is more idealized, well-crafted, consistent, technical and at the same time brutal. In other words, definitely Lacerated and Carbonized. I am sure that none of you will be disappointed. Keep an eye on our Homepage, Facebook, and Myspace. We will be posting some stuff from the rehearsals soon. How is the process to compose the melodies of lacerated and carbonized music? do you think the next year have a tour for Europe or USA or maybe back with southamerican tour?
The process is very simple. Caio Mendonça composes some riffs and then we come together in our own studio to develop the ideas. The entire band partakes of the composition process, no matter the instrumental or vocals parts. Everyone shares their own ideas. As stated earlier, we will record a new album in the upcoming months. And to promote it, we are already planning an European tour and another South American tour on 2012.In this decade we see the evolution of death metal music, mixing Metalcore (Deathcore), Rock And Roll (Death And Roll), what is your opinion about that like musician?
I particularly prefer the traditional Death Metal and Brutal Death Metal, but it is undeniable that there are good bands in this style. I can point out Carcass because they were pioneers in mixing Rock n’ Roll elements to Death Metal.Do you have any message for your fans?
Thank you very much Luis, for the interview! And huge thanks to all those who support our work, directly or not - you make it all happen. All the bangers who don’t know LACERATED AND CARBONIZED yet are invited to check our stuff out at our official website (www.laceratedandcarbonized.com) and social media channels (Facebook, Twitter and Myspace). Stay brutal!
