Interview to Pascal of Carnage Of Children

Its a pleasure interview you again Pascal, but to start this interview I want ask how was the recording days for this new full lenght? and Why the band baptized this full lenght with the name of: "Extinction"?
Hail Luis, it’s a pleasure for me too! We recorded it in Convulsound Studio in Lyon with Bernard Thibault, one of the best sound engineer of our region, and probably the most demanding. It has not always been easy but the result we expected is there and we are very pleased with his work. The recording took about 3 weeks and then 2 weeks morefor re amping, mixing and mastering. Extinction, which is the fifth song of the album, is the thread of 8 tracks evoking the extinction of the human race by the fault of the man himself.

In what are inspired the lyrics for this new album? 
The lyrics evoke the evil that man has deep inside him and his need to control and dominate everything leading to invasions and massacres.

Well "Extinction" is an apocaliptic name but the front cover of this new production is weird, I mean the artwork is only the logo name of the band and album, but with a background of fog, so what mean this "fog" like background in the album? and why the album dont have a image can represent this name for the album? 
It's flames and smoke, not fog, and it symbolizes the fire who destroy the human race.

I had the chance to listen some songs of the album and I like the sound of this new production, is more aggressive, and sounds more like the second and third album of Morbid Angel, but like all change or evolution of sound always is a challenge, so was complicated for Carnage Of Children work the music of this new album and give something different to your fans? 
I don’t think this is different from the first album Way Of Darkness, but rather a change in continuity. Orchestrations and a much better production give a different sound.

Some months ago, Daniel Dlimi bassist of swedish death metal band: Aeon, left his band because he said touring in Europe cost a lot, and isnt new know bands in Europe pay to play, but have in mind Carnage Of Children tour Europe to promote this work? and what could do the bands in Europe to fix this problem of pay to can play? because for me is a totally abuse pay to can play and this isnt a support to Metal 
I totally agree with you Luis, but there will be always bands that will pay, so things will never change! We don’t want to get into such a system so it is very hard for us to go on tour!

The band isnt signed yet to a label, but how difficult was for you release this new album in an indepent way? and you know when a band sign a label get always a 20% of the production and that is an abuse, because bands dont recover the money invert in studios, but how was the sells of first album? and do you think band get more money when work without a label? 
Labels don't help small bands financially,so it's not really important for us at the moment to have one, but we are looking for a label for distribution.
