Interview to Sako Helvajian of Innerguilt

Interview by Luis Landeo
Is a pleasure back to do an interview with you Sako congratulations or Mabrouk for release: "Slanderous Society", this album isnt an album It’s a masterpiece, i can say Innerguilt are the Lamb of God from Lebanon, but how was the last weeks before of release the album? And the weeks after release the album?
Hello Luis and thanks for the chance again. It’s an honor to us to take such comment from you being Lamb of God from Lebanon. Honestly we decided not to look for companies to invest and release our album and sell it to the public. Because we wanted to unleash Slanderous Society so everybody can listen to it anywhere in the world. And since the release, we’re taking loads of excellent and encouraging reviews from our friends, fans and fellow musicians. that all matters for us in the mean time.
In the first interview i did you the album was record in PhatRack Studios in where obviously the sound engineering did a good job, but how was the days in the studio?
I say we’re pretty lucky to find such studio like “Phatrack Studios” with the most professional and creative engineers Sary and Bassem who are very good friends with the band. The recording sessions were fast and fun. It went real smooth.
The lyrics have a concept and is the reality of the society, like hypocrisy, corruption, and more problems, do you think this album can express the reality of Lebanon.
It’s about life without the joy of freedom.
The band practice Thrash Death Metal but in all the songs I find groove metal riffs, what are the influences in the band? And it is good to know the band don’t have boundaries.
Our influences come from the legendary bands like: Pantera, Death, Obituary, Morbid Angel, Slayer… Music itself doesn’t have boundaries it comes from the imagination and it takes shape into art. In this case we translate it to heavy music. InnerGuilt have just begun and has a long journey in this business.
Sako your voice in the album is great i found like more of 3 vocal registers, do you have any tip or suggestions for all the vocal fans out there?
Practice is the only way to achieve things in life. In my experience I enjoy screaming and growling I do it with pleasure and have a good time.
Was a cool interview mate before ending this, any last message to your fans?
An ideal thrash/death metal album to listen to this year especially with a very catchy title album "Slanderous Society" well...you know the stories.
