Bienvenido a Arsenal Del Metalero Jeff, para empezar esta entrevista permiteme decirte, que hicistes un muy buen trabajo en el último álbum de Six Feet Under, "Unborn" , pero actualmente lanzaste un full lenght de tracks instrumentales titulado: "Chaos Labyrinth", en primer lugar ¿cómo nació la idea de crear un proyecto solista instrumental? y ¿cómo fue contactar la gran lista de músicos invitados? , y ¿cómo fue grabarlo?
¡Gracias ! Me alegro de que hayas disfrutado de "Unborn", fue un disco muy emocionante en que he estado yo, estoy muy contento con el producto final, así como la producción en el bajo. "Chaos Labyrinth" es mi primer full lenght en solitario y fue un verdadero honor poder trabajar con tantos grandes músicos. Fue una locura enviarle a todos los músicos los archivos de audio y luego conseguir sus pistas enviadas para mí y luego enviarlas al estudio para re amplificarlas, pero esto totalmente valió la pena ! Siempre he soñado con hacer una canción y conseguir algunos de mis bajistas preferidos para tocar en él (Alex Webster y Steve DiGiorgio).
El lanzamiento de este álbum fue hace unos días, así que ¿cómo ha sido recibido por tus fans? y de ¿cuanto es el número de copias a la venta?
"Chaos Labyrinth" en realidad acaba de salir el 15 de Octubre, así que no sé cuántas copias digitales se han vendido todavía, pero he vendido una buena cantidad de copias físicas que tengo que etiquetar y enviar hacia fuera. Hasta ahora he estado recibiendo toneladas de excelentes comentarios sobre ella! Creo que este álbum tiene un montón de cosas diferentes que la gente podría no esperar de mí, es muy dinámico y varía en estilo de canción a canción.
Me gustaría preguntarte sobre Six Feet Under, ¿cómo fue que te llamaron para ser el nuevo miembro de Six Feet Under? y ¿cómo han sido los días toureando con tu nueva familia? ¿alguna experiencia que puedas contar de tourear con Chris Barnes?
La manera en que entre en Six Feet Under fue principalmente por la oficina de METALBLADE, ya que me conocían por: Brain Drill y cuando Six Feet Under estaba en necesidad de un bajista dieron mi nombre por ahí y Chris ya habían sabido de mí desde la grabación con Brain Drill y me llamaron para ofrecerme el trabajo! Es realmente grande girar con Six Feet Under, todos en la banda son muy cool y nos llevamos muy bien! He estado en otras bandas en que se ponían molestos con algunas personas después de vivir unos con otros por un tiempo, pero no en esta banda. Chris es un buen chico para pasar el rato, un buen compañero de sushi y todos normalmente tomamos un par de shots de Jager con toda la banda para prepararnos justo antes de una presentación.
¿Cómo fue grabar las partes del bajo para el último álbum de Six Feet Under? y tengo que decir que tu bajo potente de 7 cuerdas da un toque brutal a este nuevo disco y tengo que decir también que esta producción es uno de los mejores de la banda ha trabajado.
"Unborn" fue un reto para mí de alguna manera, porque había tantos guitarristas y escritores en el álbum, por lo que algunas canciones en realidad tenía que aprenderlas de oído. Grabé mis partes de bajo en Castle Ultimate Studios en Oakland y las pistas fueron enviadas a Zuess que los reamplificó, mezcló y masterizó todo esto, creo que es uno de los mejores ingenieros que hay en este momento y realmente hizo que el álbum sonara aplastante. Mi objetivo principal en el álbum era hacerlo totalmente pesado con mis partes de bajo y creo que lo he logrado.
Como bajista profesional ¿qué equipos puedes recomendar a los fans bajistas y puedan utilizar para sus bandas y grabaciones? y ¿por qué? y ¿que efectos de pedal puedes recomendar para sonar muy agresivo?
En cuanto a equipamiento yo interpreto con un bajo de 7 cuerdas Warwick Streamer LX con pastillas Seymour Duncan oscuras que añaden un sonido pesado a la ganancia y el ataque de mi sonido. Un pedal que creo que cada bajista debe poseer es el sans amp bass controlador di, que le proporciona una gran di para actuaciones en vivo y le permite aderir tanta ganancia como quieras. En cuanto a la grabación si ustedes puede grabar pistas directas para sí mismos se va a ahorrar un montón de tiempo en el estudio ya que pueden reamplificar más tarde. Lo que significa grabar la señal en seco sin ningún efecto en él, yo uso un Apogee Jam en formato de logic audio.
Volviendo a hablar sobre el álbum: "Chaos Labyrinth" la portada tiene un brazo tocando el bajo, pero ¿qué que esa red rara en la portada? ¿cuál es el mensaje se quiere dar con esta portada?
La portada soy yo tocando, pero la cosa tipo web en la parte superior se supone que es el Laberinto. Yo quería tomar algo simple que se vea bien. Quiero que la gente se centre en la música y no en algún otro extraño mensaje.
Sé que esta pregunta es extraña pero, ¿te sientes como el nuevo: Marty Friendman pero en versión bajista?
Digo esto porque Marty tiene un proyecto en solitario como guitarrista también y el tuyo es el mismo, pero en bajo y ambos son buenos y muy rápidos
Bueno gracias eso es todo un cumplido! Siempre quise hacer cosas solo crecí escuchando a: Stuart Hamm y todos sus discos en solitario y me encantaron. Siempre he sido un gran fan del progresivo, pero nunca disfrute de la voz tanto como las partes musicales.
Preguntando sobre Six Feet Under, tenien en mente la banda grabar un nuevo álbum o álbum de coveres? y ¿cómo ves tu futuro con Six Feet Under?
Ahora Six Feet Under está trabajando en un nuevo álbum. Espero contribuir más a este álbum como este último que ya estaba escrito cuando me uní a la banda. Me encanta tocar el material de Six Feet Under y trabajar con toda la banda y el equipo son fantásticos, así que me encantaría estar haciendo esto todo el tiempo posible.

Welcome to Arsenal Del Metalero Jeff, but to start this interview let say you, you did a really good work in the last album of Six Feet Under, "Unborn" but actually you released one full lenght with instrumental tracks entitled: "Chaos Labyrinth", first how born the idea of create an instrumental solo project? and how was contact this big list of guest musicians, and how was record it?
Thanks! I am glad that you enjoyed "Unborn", it was a really exciting album to be on and I was very happy with the finished product as well as the bass production. "Chaos Labyrinth" is my first full length solo album and it was a true honor being able to work with so many great musicians. It was pretty crazy sending all the musicians the files and then getting their tracks sent to me and then sending them to the studio to get reamped and what not but it was completely worth it! I have always dreamed of making a song and getting some of my favorite bassists to play on it (Alex Webster and Steve DiGiorgio).
The release of this album was some days ago, so how was received for your fans? and how many copies was released?
"Chaos Labyrinth" actually just came out on october 15th so I don't know how many digital copies have been sold yet but I have sold a decent amount of physical copies that I have to label and ship out myself. So far I have been getting tons of great feedback on it! I think this album has alot of different things that people might not expect from me, its very dynamic and varies in style from song to song.
I would like ask you about Six Feet Under, how was you called to be the new member of Six Feet Under? and how are the days touring with your new family? any experience can you tell touring with
Chris Barnes?
The way I got in SFU was mainly from the metalblade office, they knew me from Brain Drill and when SFU was in need of a bassist they threw my name out there and Chris had already known about me from the Brain Drill record and he called me up and offered me the job! Its really great touring with SFU, everyone in the band is very chill and we get along great! I have been in other bands were you might get annoyed with certain people after living with each other for a little while but not in this band. Chris is a great guy to hang with, a good sushi buddy and we all normally do a couple shot of jager with the whole band to get ready right before set time.
How was record the bass guitar parts for the last album of Six Feet Under? and I have to say your powerfull bass of 7 strings give a brutal touch to this new album and I have to say this production is one of the best the band worked.
"Unborn" was a challenge for me in some ways because there was so many guitarist and writers on the album, so some songs I actually had to learn by ear. I recorded my bass parts at castle ultimate studios in Oakland and the tracks were sent to Zuess who reamped them and mixed and mastered the whole thing, I think he is one of the best engineers out there right now and really made the album crush. My main goal on the album was to make it heavy with my bass parts and I think I accomplished just that.
Like proffessional bassist what equipment can you recommend to bassist fans can use to their bands and recordings? and why? and what pedal effects can you recommend to sound very aggressive?
As far as equipment goes I play a 7 string Warwick streamer LX with Seymour Duncan blackout pickups which add heavely to the gain and attack in my sound. One pedal that I think every bassist should own is the sans amp bass driver di, it provides you with a great di for live playing and lets you ad as much gain as you want. As far as recording goes if you can record direct tracks yourself you will save alot of studio time and they can reamp them later. Meaning record a dry signal with no effect on it, I use an apogee jam into logic audio.
Returning to talk about the album: "Chaos Labyrinth" is your arm playing the bass but why is covered in a weird net? what is the message do you want give with this font cover?
The front cover is me playing but the web type thing on top is supposed to be the Labyrinth. I wanted to just have something simple that looks cool. I want people to focus on the music and not some other weird message.
I know this question is strange but do you feel you like the new: Marty Friendman but in bassist version? I ask you this because Marty have a guitar solo project too and yours is the same but in bass
and both are good and faster
Well thanks thats quite a compliment! I always wanted to do solo stuff I grew up listening to Stuart Hamm and all his solo records and loved it. I have always been a big progressive fan, but never enjoyed the vocals as much as the musical parts.
Asking about Six Feet Under, have in mind the band work in a new album or any covers album? and how do you see your future with Six Feet Under?
Right now SFU is working on a new album. I hope to contribute more to this album as the last one was already written when I joined the band. I love playing the SFU material and all the band and crew are great so I would love to be doing this as long as possible.
Well Jeff to end this interview, I hope Six Feet Under can play in South America, but do you have any last message to your latin fans and Arsenal Del Metalero readers?

Bienvenido a Arsenal Del Metalero, Kaoma Mega, bueno para empezar esta entrevista, tengo que decir que su música es muy buena, es interesante la mezcla de Metal Industrial con el Death Metal y un toque pequeño de voz de Black Metal, pero mi pregunta para iniciar es ¿cómo va el proceso de grabación del tercer álbum? y ¿cúal es el nombre de esta nueva producción?
Hola a todos, en primer lugar gracias a ti Luis por la oportunidad de esta entrevista en su website. El nuevo álbum ha sido grabado hace unos meses, ha sido mezclado y masterizado en Hertz Studios en Polonia (Vader Behemoth Decapitated ...). El nuevo material se llama: "Beat of Apocalypse ', que es el nombre de la canción de apertura. Recientemente hicimos un trato con el sello independiente: Eternal Tombs Records y se dará a conocer probablemente alrededor de enero y febrero del 2014.
Bueno, leyendo el nombre de la alineación de la banda, me encontré que todos ustedes usan apodos, ¿por qué mantener a todos ustedes en el anonimato?
Esto es algo que no planeamos hacer, ha sido muy natural para nosotros usar apodos ya que es algo que encaja muy bien con el concepto de una banda como Throne of Molok. Es como si nos mostráramos a nosotros mismos de un lado diferente, es algo con que expresamos nuestros sentimientos más extremos y simplemente son nombres artísticos.
Estaba revisando el video: "Seed Of Revenge" y es realmente genial , va muy bien con las letras de la banda, y las letras son sobre temas apocalípticos me gustaría decir que tocan temas de guerra post- Atomica pero como guitarrista ¿cómo se imagina el sonido de sus riffs para poder combinarse con letra del cantante de la banda?
Desde que empezamos a tocar juntos, la voz siempre ha tenido el elemento más "Black Metal" en nuestra música, y todo el sonido es el resultado final de lo que se quiere expresar con la música. Las líricas las acompañamos muy bien para que el oyente tenga una sensación de nuestro loco mundo apocalíptico.
Bueno, yo apuesto a que los lectores de Sudamérica y la gente de todo el mundo que leeran esta entrevista querrán saber acerca de ¿cómo comenzó Throne Of Molok ? y ¿por qué el nombre de : "Throne Of Molok "?
El proyecto original inicia en el año 2001 - fue un dúo Industrial Ambient (de un amigo y yo), pero nunca se dio cuenta de la versión parcial de los programas de audio. A finales del 2004, cuando yo, N.kultus Morg empezamos a tocar juntos y grabamos la primera demo, en ese momento no teníamos un nombre aún y cuando le mencione el nombre de aquel viejo proyecto inédito, que sólo sonaba muy bien para todos nosotros decidimos usarlo. Molok es un antiguo dios. Su culto se conecta con el fuego y el sacrificio. Representa el mundo desviado de hoy en día, lo que necesita el sacrificio humano para seguir viviendo y seguir. Sólo por mencionar, que también se utiliza en las dos únicas canciones del proyecto original: ( ' Micron ' y ' Cosmic Rays Apocalypse ' ) en los dos primeros álbumes como pistas instrumentales.
En estos últimos años la escena del Industrial Metal en Europa está creciendo, ahora vemos nuevas y grandes bandas tocando como: Sybreed , Dagoba , dando una nueva dirección en este género metalero, pero otros tratan de mantener un sonido parecido como el sonido de " Rammstein ", ¿por qué crees que las bandas tratan de mantener mucho ese sonido en el Metal Industrial?
Personalmente me gusta Rammstein, su música es muy simple y de gran poder. Creo que lo mejor de la combinación de sonidos industriales/electrónicos al Metal/Rock es que usted realmente puede hacer que su música suene diferente de cualquier otro por ahí, pero esto depende sobre todo de los elementos electrónicos que se pueden crear hay infinitos sonidos con los sintetizadores, en realidad no se puede hacer esto con guitarras si decide hacerlos sonar 'Metal' . Así que creo que es muy difícil de haya bandas de metal que trabajen muy similar, incluso si uno está tratando de imitar a otra, es algo que realmente no estoy de acuerdo. Creo que cada banda de Metal Industrial debe sonar diferente, eso es lo más importante e interesante en este "género". Si hay bandas inspiradas en Rammstein, espero que no intenten ser una copia mala de la original!
Sé que haces los sonidos industriales de tu banda, ¿que softwares o instrumentos utiliza para crear estos sonidos electrónicos? y ¿que tan difícil es combinar con la velocidad con el sonido fuerte del Throne Of Molok?
Básicamente utilizo diferentes instrumentos para crear ese tipo de sonido, en su mayoría sintetizadores hardwares como: virus o alguna unidad de los 90. No los siento como si fuera una cosa difícil de combinar los sintetizadores con la velocidad con ideas de Metal Extremo eso para mí es la forma natural de escribir música, soy sobre todo un músico de piano y ahora empecé a tocar la guitarra como instrumento secundario, porque yo quería añadir potentes guitarras metálicas para mis composiciones. Por lo general, tenemos que pasar más tiempo en el proceso de arreglos y mezclas, para que todas las partes y todas las frecuencias encajen de la mejor manera. Esto no es muy simple a veces.
¿Tienes en mente un tour para promover el nuevo álbum el próximo año?
Después del lanzamiento del álbum vamos a hacer conciertos de apoyo. En realidad estamos planeando todo con el label de modo que no tenemos conciertos confirmados, nuestro principal objetivo es promover el nuevo álbum de la mejor manera posible.
Para finalizar esta entrevista ¿tienes un último mensaje a los fans?
Todos los fans pueden ahora conectarse y escuchar los temas del nuevo álbum y muy pronto vamos a publicar el vídeo musical de otra nueva canción. Estamos muy activos en este periodo, asi que chequeen noticias de Throne Of Molok!

Welcome To Arsenal Del Metalero Kaoma Mega, well to start this interview I have to say your music sounds very good, is interesting the mixture of Industrial Metal with Death Metal and a litle touch of Black Metal in the voice, but my question to start is how goes the process of recording of third album? and what is the name of this new production?
Hello everybody, firstly thank you Luis for the oppurtunity of an interview in your space.
The new album has been recorded some months ago, it has been mixed and mastered at Hertz Studios in Poland (Vader Behemoth Decapitated...). It is called 'Beat of Apocalypse', which is the name of the opener song. Recently we made a deal with the newborn independent label 'Eternal Tombs Records' and it will be released probably around jan-feb 2014.
Well checking the name of the line up of the band, I found all of you use nicknames, why keep all of you guys in the anonymity?
This is something we did not plan to do, it has been quite natural for us to use nicknames as it's something that fits well with the concept of a band like Throne of Molok. It's like we show ourselves from a different side, the one in which we express our most 'extreme' feelings.They simply are art names.
I was checking the video: "Seed Of Revenge" and is really cool, it goes very well with the lyrics of the band, and the lyrics are about apocaliptic themes I would like to say are about of a post-atomical war but like guitarrist how do you imagine the sound of your riffs can combinate with lyrics of the singer of your band?
Since we started playing together, voice has been always the most 'black metal' element in our music, and the whole sound is the end result of what we want to express with the music. Lyrics accompain very well the feeling of the listener in our apocalyptic insane world.
Well I bet readers in Southamerica and people from all around the world will read this inteview will want to know about how Throne Of Molok started? and why this name of: "Throne Of Molok"?
The original project -year 2001- was an industrial ambient duo (me and a friend), but we never realized an audio demo. In late 2004 when me, N.kultus and Morg started playing together and recorded the first demo, at that time we didn't have a name yet and when i mentioned the name of that old unreleased project, it just sounded great to all of us and we decided to use it. Molok is an ancient God. His cult is connected with fire and sacrifice. It represents the deviant world of nowadays, which need human sacrifice to keep living on and on. Just to mention, i also used the only two songs of the original old project ('Micron' and 'Cosmic Rays Apocalypse') in the first two albums as instrumental tracks.
In this last years the Industrial Metal scene in Europe is growing up, now we see new big bands playing like: Sybreed, Dagoba, giving a new direction in this metal genre but others try to keep a sound similar like the sound of "Rammstein", why do you think a lot band try to keep this sound in the Industrial Metal?
Personally I like Rammstein, their music is very simple and powerful. I think the best thing of combining industrial/electronic sounds with metal/rock is that you can really make your music sound different from any other out there, but this depends mostly from the electronic elements cause you can create infinite sounds with synthesizers, you can not really do this with guitars if you decide to make them sound 'metal'. So I believe it's really difficult that two industrial metal band sound very similar even if one is trying to imitate another, whicht is something i really disappoint. I think every industrial metal band should sound different, that's the most important and intresting thing in this 'genre'. So if there are bands inspired by Rammstein, i hope they not try to be a (bad) copy of the original!
I know you make the industrial sounds of your band what softwares or instruments do you use to create this electronic sounds? and how difficult is combinate it with the speed and strong sound of Throne Of Molok?
Basically I use different instruments to create that kind of sound, mostly hardware synthesizers like Virus or some 90's unit. I don't feel like it's a difficult thing to combine synthesizers with speed / extreme metal ideas as for me it's the natural way to write music; i am mainly a piano/keyboard musician and just later i started to play guitar just as secondary instrument, cause i wanted to add powerful metallic guitars to my compositions.
Usually we need to spend more time on the arranging and mixing process, to make all parts and all frequencies fit together in the best way. This could not be very simple sometimes.
Have you in mind a tour for next year to promote new album?
After the release of the album we will play gigs in support of it. Actually we're planning everything with the label so we have no tour dates confirmed, our main goal is to promote the new album in the best way possible.

Hails Júnior bienvenido a Arsenal Del Metalero, para iniciar esta entrevista es saber ¿cómo la banda grabó un full lenght el mismo año de la creación? porque usualmente esto toma un tiempo
Quiero agradecer en primer lugar la oportunidad de esta entrevista y el apoyo que viene dando Arsenal Del Metalero a las bandas! Bueno, Envoke surgió de Enthrall, para aquellos que no saben cual era mi antigua banda en la que mi hermano y yo éramos parte agentes y había suficiente relación y composiciones ya realizadas, allí pronto se une Roberto Maya (batería) y ensayamos nuevos temas, grabamos en Julio este cd que viene con 7 pistas y pronto estaremos en giras.
Escuchando esta primera producción noto más influencia de Death Metal de Black Metal pero ustedes se clasifican como una banda de Black Death Metal, ¿Cuales son exactamente las influencias de la banda? y ¿como piensan tomar el sonido Black Death Metal brasileño suba al siguiente nivel en el futuro?
Tenemos muchas influencias de grupos como Belphegor, Behemoth, Hate, Nile Ophiolatry, The Ordher, Abborrence, la banda tiene un sonido y temática oscura muy loca y con el más brutal Black Death Metal, así que en el futuro con cada día que pasa amanecerán muchas bandas con potencial increíble y Brasil ha sido muy excelente, con muchas versiones y bandas de todos los días que van más allá.
El guitarrista de la banda es su hermano? y ¿cómo es tocar con él en la banda? y se puede saber ¿cómo empezó la banda?
En realidad, mi hermano es el bajista y vocal y muy bueno tocar con él, una gran idea que eleva todo es más fácil componer con el, ya que es un hombre muy comprometido y muy dedicado, como ya se ha dicho todo fue cuando decidimos formar la banda Enthrall y grabamos un demo en el 2009 la cual tuvimos algunos show muy importantes compartir escenarios con las grandes bandas brasileñas: Sodoma y Nervochaos, pero por motivos personales la banda terminó en el 2011.
La portada de este primer disco me recuerda un poco la portada del disco: "Obzen" de Messhuggah, ¿quien fue el artista que hizo esta portada? y ¿cuáles son los conceptos en el diseño de la portada y en el mensaje de las letras en este álbum?
El Arte fue hecho por el famoso Marcus Lorenzet (ArtSpell). Es por eso que tiene la idea y se parece bastante a este álbum de Messhuggah, no hay ningún plagio es solo una coincidencia, la banda habla mucho de nuestro concepto sobre el ser humano en este hipócrita y enfermo mundo en que vivimos.
Bueno, la banda ¿ha tenido la oportunidad de tocar en vivo? y si no han tocado aún ¿cuando seria el primer show?
El día 19/10 será nuestro primer show que tocaremos junto a Krenak, Evil Land, Burning Hate, Demonic Torment y será un concierto con bandas locales y tenemos una enorme expectación.
Tu sabes que un tour es muy importante para el lanzamiento de producción de una banda ¿tienen en mente una gira para el próximo año para promocionar el álbum?
Claro se ejecutará después de que se de a conocer nuestro cd mucho más, además de visitar el año que viene todo Sudamérica, lucharemos para que esto ocurra y soltar primero el sonido en los oídos de los chicos para que podamos tener el retorno esperado.
