Entrevista a Castor de Torture Squad

Hails Castor es un placer tener una entrevista contigo, tengo 7 años escuchando a la banda, así que soy un fanático, pero bien me gustaría comenzar esta entrevista preguntando, ¿qué pasó con la alineación de la banda? ¿Por que Vitor Rodrigues dejó la banda? ¿Y cómo Andre Evaristo se convirtió en vocal de Torture Squad? 
Hails, Luis, también es un placer amigo! Bueno, Vitor decidió tomar otro camino en su vida, por eso el dejó la banda. André solía cantar en su anterior banda, nosotros lo invitamos en primer lugar. Todos disfrutamos de cómo sonaba en nuestras canciones y luego decidimos contratarlo como cantante además de tocar la guitarra también. Está haciendo un gran trabajo en Torture Squad!

El año pasado, la banda lanzó el séptimo full lenght titulado: "Esquadrão de Tortura", ¿cómo fue el trabajo de este álbum? ¿Y por qué estan re lanzando este disco con un label diferente? 
En Brasil se lanzo por Substancial Recs que ha re lanzado nuestros álbumes "Asylum of Shadows" y "The Spell Profano". Este álbum será re-lanzado también en México por OZ Production, en los EE.UU. por el sello End of the Light , y también en el Perú por el GOH. Estamos negociando localmente su lanzamiento en Europa, con algunas labels que hay ahora. Vamos a difundir la noticia tan pronto como consigamos esto todo confirmado!

Después del lanzamiento de esta nueva producción, ¿cuáles son las opiniones de los fans sobre el nuevo vocalista de la banda? 
Hasta aquí todo bien bro! Ellos están disfrutando de la nueva formación, así como el nuevo álbum! Este nuevo álbum está trayendo un montón de buena vibra a nosotros y por todos los fans!

¿Cómo vez el progreso y la evolución en el sonido de tu banda en todos estos años? 
Muy natural como siempre! Este nuevo álbum está sonando fuerte y agresivamente como Torture Squad solía ser!

Bueno esta cubierta es de color verde y tiene un arte interesante, pero que representan todos esos detalles especialmente el periódico que dice: "1964 brasilian coup d etat"? y en ¿que están inspiradas las letras de este álbum? 
Gracias hombre! Esta portada fue hecha por João Duarte y el ha capturado la sensación exacta del álbum! Hablando de las letras, de hecho, este es nuestro primer álbum conceptual y se refiere a la época en que Brasil fue gobernado por el régimen militar desde 1964 hasta 1985. Nos informan de cada periodo en el álbum. La letra fueron inspiradas leyendo algunos artículos de la época, libros, documentales, películas, etc..

¿Están pensando en una gira de este año? ¿Y qué países creen visitar? 
Sí, claro! Vamos a tener un tour sudamericano en la segunda mitad de este año, entre Julio/ Agosto! Nos van a tener todas las fechas confirmadas muy pronto!

Háblame de los miembros invitados especiales cómo fue trabajar con todos ellos? Especialmente con Joao Gordo (Ratos do Porao) 
Nos sentimos honrados de tener a todas estas personas y amigos que participan en nuestro nuevo álbum! João Gordo y Ratos de Porão tienen una enorme influencia en Torture Squad! Todos crecimos escuchando sus abums y yendo a sus conciertos aquí! Fue jodidamente impresionante tenerlo a él cantando en la canción "Patria Livre" en el nuevo álbum! También tuvimos nuestro antiguo guitarrista Augusto Lopes haciendo uno solo en el medio de la pista "danza de guerra", que fue un solo que el escribió antes de dejar Torture Squad, el percusionista Paulinho Sorriso en "Architecture of Pain", la Orquesta Roch Sphaera hacen cuerdas en "Conspiracy of Silence" y "For the Countless dead", Fernanda Lira (bajista y vocalista de Nervosa) con Tommy Morrielo (manager de la banda) haciendo un discurso sobre "For the Countless Dead" y nuestro productor Brendan Duffey habla en "Fear to the World".

Interview to Castor of Torture Squad

Hails Castor is a pleasure have an interview with you, I have 7 years listening the band, so I am a fan, but well I would like starting this interview asking, what happened with the line up of the band? Why Vitor Rodrigues left the band? And how Andre Evaristo take the vocals in Torture Squad?
Hail Luis, it´s also my pleasure dude! Well, Vitor decided to take another path in his life, that´s why He left the band. André used to sing in his previous band so, we tried him first. We all enjoyed how He sounded on our songs then we decided to hired him as Singer besides playing guitar too. He´s doing a great work with Torture Squad!

Last year the band released the seventh full lenght entitled: "Esquadrão de Tortura", how was work this album? And why are you re releasing this álbum with a different label?
In Brasil it was relesed by Substancial Recs. Which hás re released our álbums “Asylum of Shadows” and “The Unholy Spell”. This álbum will be re-leased also in Mexico by Oz Production, in the U.S. by the label End of the Light and also in Peru by GOH. We are negociating its release in Europe with some labels out there now. We´ll spread the News as soon as we get this all confirmed!

After the release of this new production, what are theoppinions of fans about the new vocalist of your band: Torture Squad?
So far so good bro! They are enjoying the new lineup as well as the new álbum! This new álbum is bringing lots of good vibe to us by the fans all over!

How do you see the progress and evolution in the sound of your band in all this years? 
Very natural as Always! This new álbum is sounding heavy and agressive as Torture Squad used to be!

Well this cover is in color Green have and interesting art, but what represent all specially the news paper it say: "1964 brasilian coup d etat"? and in what are inspiring the lyrics for this album? 
Thanks man! This cover art was madeby João Duarte and He had captured the exact feeling of the álbum! Talking about the lyrics, in fact this is our first concept álbum and it talks about the time when Brazil was ruled for the military regime from 1964 to 1985. We reported each period in the álbum. The lyrics was inpired by reading some articles from that period, books, documentaries, films, etc...

Are you thinking for a tour this year? And what countries do you think visit? 
Yes, sure! We are booking a South Amercan tour to the second half of this year between July/ August! We are gonna have all dates confirmed pretty soon!

Tell me about special guest members how was work with all them? Specially with Joao Gordo (Ratos do Porao) 
We are honored to have all these people and friends participating in our new álbum! João Gordo and Ratos de Porão have a huge influence on Torture Squad! We all grew up listening to their abums and going to their concerts here! It was fucking awesome to have him singing the song “Patria Livre” in the new album! We also had our former guitarrist Augusto Lopes doing one solo on the middle of the track “War dance”, which it was a solo He wrote before He left Torture Squad, the percussionist Paulinho Sorriso in “Architecture of Pain”, The Sphaera Roch Orchestra doing strings on “Conspiracy of Silence” and “For the Countless dead”, Fernanda Lira ( bassist and vocalist of Nervosa) with Tommy Morrielo ( band´s manager) doing a speech on “For the Countless Dead” and our producer Brendan Duffey speaking on “Fear to the World”.

Well to end this interview do you have a last message for your fans and Arsenal Del Metalero readers?
