Interview to Captain Foris of Warship

Hails Captain Foris, welcome to Arsenal del Metalero, how are you? can you tell me how the band started? and what are the news in the band?
Hello from Greece. It all started back in 1999 when a group of original heavy metal fans decided to play genuine Heavy Metal music. The band came to life shortly after. Warship was our name. Our very first demo with the title "Warship" was released in 2004. The second demo "Attack" followed towards the end of 2006. In 2010, Warship 'launched' their first official album titled "The First Wave". We have already performed in several well-known Rock Clubs of Athens. At this moment, the band have already released their second official album titled "The Second Wave".

Why the name of the band is Warship? And why you choose this name?
The name of the band represents the dynamism, the will and the free spirit of man. We love the sea and of course the Heavy Metal music. From there the name of the band has emerged.

Last year the band realeased a second full length after 6 years of release the first album, how was produce and record this album? and why the band entitled both work like "first wave" and "second wave"? it will be part of a trilogy?
Of course it will be part of a trilogy, as the next album will be called "The Third Wave". I think it was the best way for us, to start with this title. The "The Second Wave" was recorded in the home studio of the band here in Athens. We started in 2011 after the release of the first album and at the same time we started to make the second album. It took us a lot of time, effort and money to make both. However we did it and we are here with another 8 fresh songs.

In what are inspired the lyrics of the band? And why the cover albums of the band appear a destructor battleship? Is this kind of battleship like the "pet" of the band?
The themes of the songs refer to freedom, human beings and Mother Earth. We are talking about war, women, nature, poverty, politics, freedom, history. Βattleship is our symbol. When you see it you will know that we are.

I saw a video in youtube, where the band played in a fest called: global battle metal bands, tell me how was that concert? the band won in that contest?
The concert was great. But we were not so good at the final. We lost but gained the experience of a professional concert.
