Interview to Billy Vass of Terra Incognita

Hails Billy, how are you? how was release the ep: "Sign with Blood" after 5 years of release first album: Barren Land? and how was the recording sessions of this album?
Heavy Metal greetings to Peru, from Greece & Terra IncΩgnita!!! I'd like to start by thanking this site for giving us an opportunity to say some things about our band and our latest E.P. release.... "Sign with Blood" (E.P. 2016) is the fresh, new beginning of this band which has been around since 2010. "Barren Land" (1st. full length album) was a good start, but the E.P. shows that Terra IncΩgnita, with an all new line-up, has much more to offer..... It was recieved quite well by heavy metal websites all over the world. The recording sessions with our producer Bob Katsionis (Firewind, Serious Black) were a blast!!! We had a great time recording because Bob is a true professional, and made everything come together on this E.P. exactlly the way we wanted it.

In what are inspired the lyrics for this album? and how was compose the music for this work?
The E.P. and the full length album (winter 2017) "Fragments of a Ruined Mind" are a result of an old book....Yes, a concept album. This is a musical, and lyrical journey of our main character, Strahd....his story, of love, loss, conquest, betrayal, a covenant, life & death.......

Can you tell me about how the band started? and what represent the simbol of omega in the logo of the band?
The band started in 2010, when we were a quartet.... started playing some covers, then we began to bring in our own ideas about which direction we wanted our music to go,,,, the result, was our 1st effort, "Barren Land". The "Ω" in our logo represents the new beginning and fresh start of the band. Before the E.P. the logo was written with an "O". So, you can understand the significance and thought behind the "Ω".  

The cover of the band represent a handshake between a devils hand and human hand, but what is the concept behind this? is a representation of devils pact? or the friendship of satan and politics (laughs)? and what symbolize the symbol of the human hand?
Very simple and precise.....it IS the devils hand, shaking the human hand of our condemned character, Strahd. It IS a pact,,,,,a Covenant, between the two. 

I was checking the music video of "In the Mist", who was the director? and how was record this video? and is this song a presentation of the new album of the band in comming?

Our video clip, "In the Mist" was directed & produced by Bob Katsionis. The making of it was alot of fun....many of the scenes are symbolic of the concept we are portraying...The song will be on "Fragments of a Ruined Mind".

How goes the presentation of the band in Greece? and is in mind a tour?
The E.P. was well recieved here in Greece. We've been told that it leaves the listener wanting more.... we take this as a good sign for the full length album. The band has been supporting the E.P. release with a handful of shows in Athens.....we are planning on a full tour, locally, and abroad, when the album comes out this winter, starting with our appearance @ the Metal Gates festival, in Romania, this winter.......  

To finish with this interview do you have a message to fans of the band and readers?
Our message is simple: We MUST keep heavy metal alive, and always,SIGN WITH BLOOD!!!!
