Welcome Necrol to Arsenal Del Metalero is really pleasure meet you, I know the last release of your band, was in 2010, so are you working in a new full lenght for this year?
Hails Arsenal del Metalero! Thanks for the opportunity! Yes, as of right now SSK is currently working on a new album (still untitled) that will hopefully be released this year.
I know the band was signed first to Morbid SoulS records, and the was signed to Metal Messiah records, but actually the band isnt signed to any label what happened? or are you thinking sign with another label?
There have been discussions with Metal Messiah about releasing the new album but nothing set in stone. We are always looking to advance so if another label is interested we definitely want to hear what they have to offer.
Actually Secrets she kept have to members You, and the bass guitarist, what happened with the past line up? why they left the band?
Actually, SSK has a full lineup right now consisting of myself on guitars and vocals, Satorn on guitars, Nebuchadnezzar on bass, and Archangel Sin Scythe on drums. This will also be the lineup that will appear on the new album, and hopefully be the bands permanent lineup. As far as previous incarnations of the band... Members come and go. Its just a matter of finding the right fit.
Many of Arsenal Del Metalero readers will want to know how your band started? and why this name for the band?
The band started back in 2001 with only myself, writing, performing, and recording the bands first demo "Symphonies of Eternal Suffering and Damnation" and first full-length "Requiems to Midnight, Woe". Around 2005 the band acquired members and began playing shows locally and eventually started touring. In 2009 the band recorded "La Fin Absolue du Monde" with myself on guitars/vocals, then-bassist D. Judas, and Mike Heller on drums. Since the release of that album in 2010 the band has played multiple shows in support but also went through some more lineup changes until early this year when we once again gained a full lineup. The band is currently tracking the newest album and plans to begin playing shows and touring again very soon. The name was just something to be different, and stand out against all the other cliche metal band names at the time. But over the years its developed into its own entity with many multiple meanings. I kind of like to leave it up to the listener as to what they want it to be now.
Necrol, I know the band had participation of Mike Heller (Fear Factory, Azure Emote, Malignancy) in the last album: "La fin absolue du monde", why Mike wasnt include like part of the line up? and how is your relationship with him?
Yes, Mike Heller was our drummer for the "La Fin..." album. Originally we tracked some demo's for the album with Steve Asheim of DEICIDE as our drummer. There were talks of him performing on the album as well but plans changed and Mike Heller was brought in. Mike was never really meant to be a full time member, only a session musician. Over the years since the albums, however, I've spoken to him about sitting in for us live if need be. But it never really came to that. Mike is still a great friend of the band and we still keep in contact regularly.
I know Secrets she kept the band has played with many national/international acts including Monstrosity, Dark Funeral, Enslaved, 1349, Nachtmystium, Averse Sefira, Crimson Moon, Demoncy, Ceremonial Castings, Horna, Blood Stained Dusk, etc. how was share stage with them and do you have in mind a tour for this or next year?
We've had a great time performing with pretty much all the bands that we've had the pleasure of sharing the stage with. As far as touring, we would like to get back on the road sometime this year. If just for a few dates here and there. We'll definitely be hitting Texas and the North East for sure. And many other dates in between. Next year, SSK will be in full force once again and anything could happen!
I know you are member in Kult Ov Azazel, how goes thing with them, are Kult OV Azazel working in a new album?
KoA is in the process of writing/demoing songs for the new album. We have a date booked in Miami in Oct. and thats about it for now. Not too much to report.
Well bro, any last words to end this interview?
