Entrevista a Mayara Puertas de Necromesis

Hola Mayara, encantado de conocerte, y bienvenida a Arsenal Del Metalero, para iniciar esta entrevista déjame preguntarte, ¿Cómo fuiste elegida para ser la nueva cantante de Necromesis?, Y ¿cómo ha sido trabajar con los chicos? porque he leído que eras muy fan de ellos antes de unirte a la banda. 
Hola, es un gran placer estar aquí! En realidad, yo siempre he sido una gran fan de la obra musical de Necromesis, conocí a la banda en un espectáculo en el que también hice una contribución, y desde entonces los he seguido. Daniel (guitarra), había oído algunas demos que yo había grabado, y luego me invitó a una "prueba" de ensayo. Ensayé dos veces con la banda, y fue sensacional, ya que estamos juntos. Nunca me imaginé que un día iba a ser parte de Necromesis, es increíble ser parte de esta banda, estoy aprendiendo mucho con ellos!

La banda esta año lanzaron un EP titulado "Echoes Of Memory", ¿cómo se escribe la letra de este ep? en lo que se inspiran sus letras?, ¿podemos decir es esto un ep conceptual? 
"Echoes Of Memory" es un EP con canciones que formarán parte de nuestro álbum, aún sin fecha de lanzamiento. El concepto completo estará en el álbum, en el que todas las letras son contradictorias, no expresan ninguna opinión sólo conceptos contradictorios de los caminos que se pueden seleccionar en la actitud a tomar, etc .... Son ideas conceptuales ... algo que creamos, vemos, vivimos, sentimos ... etc .... en este caso, las ideas conceptuales son de Daniel, quien trajo la idea para este nuevo trabajo. 

¿Fue difícil para ti darle un concepto diferente a las letras de Necromesis que fueron escritas por el ex cantante? porque el concepto de las letras realmente se centran en temas de problemas personales, la introspección y "demonios internos" 
En este lanzamiento contribuí en los arreglos e incluso algunos riffs de las canciones. Discutimos mucho sobre el concepto, nos dimos algunas ideas, pero Daniel trabajó todo un una manera tan excepcional que no hemos tenido que modificar! Todas las canciones se complementan entre sí y dan continuidad a la otra. En cuanto a los 2 primeros trabajos de las letras no tienen un concepto específico. Las obras oscuras del arte se basaron en la historia de un asesino en serie estadounidense llamada "The Butcher", así como la construcción de un mundo subterráneo, del que se basa la historia reportada de un paciente en una institución mental. MINUSTAH, habla de una acción del mismo nombre adoptado por la ONU en Haití, incluyendo el estribillo cantado en Haití. Sin embargo, nuestro último trabajo fue un concepto creado con el foco muy específico. La idea era crear algo aplicado en la vida cotidiana, donde cada persona puede identificar las partes del concepto. Las dos cartas de la nueva obra es parte de un concepto que se va a trabajar en conjunto en nuestro álbum completo.

Sé que la banda está trabajando en el primer full lenght, ¿cómo van estos días en el estudio? y ¿que sorpresa podemos esperar de este álbum? ¿tendrá el mismo mensaje de letras como el EP? o ¿va a ser algo totalmente diferente? 
El Ep muestra un poco de lo que viene en el CD, que sera más agresivo, manteniendo la técnica y la musicalidad que siempre ha estado presente en las canciones de Necromesis. Lo que puedo decir, es un disco que se va a hacer con mucho cuidado, ya que será la primera versión completa de nuestra banda. Estamos trabajando duro para que el disco presente una visión general de toda la experiencia adquirida hasta la fecha.

No puedo esperar para escuchar lo nuevo, pero bien sé que estudiaste música como autodidacta , canta guturals y voces melódicas , pero me gustaría saber lo difícil que era para que aprenda a cantar guturales ? y no se tiene en cuenta las voces guturales pueden reducir las notas de las voces melódicas? 
He crecido siempre amando el canto, siempre me gusto probar diferentes voces, nunca tuve una lección de canto, pero siempre me gustaba observar y aceptar los consejos de aquellos que lo hacían bien. Yo siempre cantaba con voces limpias, mi interés en el gutural aumentó mientras escuchaba metal más extremo. Empecé a grabar demos (tengo grabaciones que van desde Bruce Dickinson hasta Deicide), pero pude descubrir solamente y mejorar mi voz cuando me uní a Necromesis. En el escenario, además de todos los esfuerzos para cantar, una se está moviendo, lo que es mucho más difícil respirar. cómo soy asmática el gutural fue un gran reto también porque tenía miedo de que yo no podía cantar las voces más limpias. Creo que todavía soy una principiante, y creo que la principal lección de aprender es escuchar y prácticar los guturales, también oír buenas referencias, e ir encontrando poco a poco donde su gutural sea cómodo para usted.

La banda dará un tour después del lanzamiento de la primera longitud completa, ¿que países están pensando visitar? y ¿tiene en mente una gira por Europa como muchas bandas brasileñas están haciendo? 
Nuestro enfoque en este momento es Brasil, queremos mostrar nuestra música en nuestro país primero (que es bastante grande en comparación con los países europeos, por decirlo asi) por lo que queremos llevar nuestra música a partir de un punto a otro de nuestro país. Varias bandas brasileñas están haciendo muy bien las giras fuera de Brasil, como nuestros amigos bandas de como: Woslom y Nervochaos, y cuando el ritmo es el adecuado, será un placer para nosotros en Necromesis llevar nuestra música a otros países!

Me olvidé de preguntarte, tuve la oportunidad de ver un vídeo en Youtube con el desempeño de la banda y se que es muy profesional, pero ¿han pensado en el lanzamiento de un DVD? y ¿cómo fue para ti cantar por primera vez con Necromesis? y ¿haz tenido la oportunidad de hablar con el ex cantante de Necromesis?
Nos gusta mostrar nuestras presentaciones, es una forma de evaluar y evolucionar constantemente. Nuestra prioridad ahora es el lanzamiento del full lenght, pero en el futuro nos gustaría hacer un DVD. En cuanto a mi entrada en Necromesis fue una gran sorpresa, yo siempre seguí a la banda como una fan, pero nunca me imaginé que un día sería invitado a la banda. Daniel (guitarrista) me invitó y me fue muy bien. Nunca he tenido mucho contacto con el ex vocalista, ciertamente no es una misión fácil tomar su lugar en una banda en la que era cantante desde hace muchos años, pero el público me recibió muy bien, estoy teniendo un gran apoyo.

Me dijiste antes de esta entrevista, que eres muy amiga con Maysa Rodrigues (Cauterization) y Luenya "Van Ripper" Moura (Demonized Legión), pero ¿cómo va la idea de hacer juntas una banda? y ¿haz tenido la oportunidad de hablar con ellas? 
Maysa y Luenya son mis amigas y grandes músicos! Tengo más contacto con Maysa (vivimos en el mismo estado), y espero que ella pueda hacer una contribución en nuestro material! Desafortunadamente vivimos tan lejos (como ya he dicho, Brasil es un país muy grande, si viajamos en coche se necesitaría un día o dos para llegar hasta Luenya), en el futuro puede ser una idea para un proyecto con ellos, pero desafortunadamente una banda actualmente no es factible debido a las distancias. Hay una negociación con un productor que quiere un concierto de Necromesis y Cauterization juntos, pero aún no se confirma.

Espero el lanzamiento del primer full lenght, pero ¿tienes un mensaje para los fans de Necromesis?
Estamos viendo para lanzar este material y estamos haciéndolo con el trato mas especial. Será un disco muy especial para nosotros, esperamos que os guste lo que estamos haciendo! Muchas gracias por la entrevista, siempre contaran con nosotros!

Interview to Mayara Puertas of Necromesis

Hello Mayara, nice to meet you, and welcome to Arsenal Del Metalero, to start this interview let me ask you, How was you choosen to be the new singer of Necromesis?, and how was work with the guys? because I read you was very fan of them before to join the band.
Hello, it is a great pleasure to be here! Really, I've always been a big fan of the musical work of Necromesis, I met the band for a show in which I also made a contribution, and since then I followed them. Daniel (guitar), had heard some covers that I had recorded, and then invited me to a rehearsal "test". I rehearsed twice with the band, and it was sensational, since we're together. I never imagined that one day I would be part of Necromesis, it's incredible to be part of this band, I'm learning a lot with them!

The band this years realeased an ep entitled: "Echoes Of Memory", how was write the lyrics for this ep? in what are inspired your lyrics?, can we say is this a conceptual ep?
"Echoes Of Memory" is an EP with songs that will be part of ours full album, still no release date. The complete concept will be at the full album, in which all letters are contradictory, do not express any opinion only contradictory concepts of paths that can be selected on attitudes to be taken, etc. .... Are conceptual ideas ... something we create seeing, living, feeling ... etc .... in this case, conceptual ideas of Daniel, who brought the whole idea for this new work.

Was difficult for you give a different concept of the lyrics of Necromesis was wroten for ex singer? because the concept of the actual lyrics are focus in personal problems, the instrospection and inner "demons"
This release I contributed to arrangements and even some riffs for the songs. We discussed a lot about the concept, we gave some ideas, but Daniel worked it all such an exceptional a way that we have not had to modify! All the songs complement each other and give continuity to each other. As for the first 2 works the letters do not have a specific concept. The dark works of art was based on the story of an American serial killer called "The Butcher", as well as building an underworld, is based on reported history of a patient in a mental institution. MINUSTAH, talks about a homonymous action taken by the UN in Haiti, including the chorus sung in Haitian. However, our last work was a concept created with very specific focus. The idea was to create something applied in everyday life, where every person can identify parts of the concept. The two letters of the new work is part of a concept that will be worked as a whole in our Full album.

I know the band is working in the first full lenght, how goes this days in studio? and what surprised can we expect of this album? will have the same message of lyrics like the ep? or will be something totally different The Ep shows a bit of what is coming on the CD, is more aggressive, keeping the technique and musicality that has always been present in Necromesis songs . What I can say, is an album that will be done with much care, because it will be the first full release by our band. We are working hard to the album presents an overview of all experience gained so far.

I cant wait to listen the new, but well I know you studied music like autodidact, you sing guturals and melodical vocals, but I would like to know how difficult was for you learn to sing guturals? and do you consider gutural voices can reduce the notes of melodical vocals? 
I grow up loving singing, always liked to try different voices, I never had a singing lesson, but always liked to observe and accept advice from those who did it well. I always sang it with clean vocals, my interest in the guttural increased as I listened to most extreme metal. I started recording covers (I have recordings ranging from Bruce Dickinson until Deicide), but I could discover only and improve my voice when I joined the Necromesis. On stage besides every effort to sing, you are moving, it is much harder to breathe. How am asthmatic, guttural was a big challenge also because I was afraid that I could not sing more clean vocals. I think I still beginner, and I think the main lesson to learn is to listen and guttural practice also hear good references, and go gradually finding where your own guttural is comfortable for you.

The band will give a tour after release of first full lenght, what countries are thinking visit? and have you in mind tour Europe like many brasilian bands are doing? 
Our focus at the moment is Brazil, we want to show our music to our country first (which is pretty big compared to European countries for example) so we want to take our music from one point to another of our country. Various Brazilian bands are doing great touring outside of Brazil, as our friends bands like Woslom and Nervochaos, and when the timing is right, will be a pleasure to us from Necromesis bring our music to other countries!

I forgot ask you, I have the chance to see a video in youtube with performance of the band very professional, but have you in mind release a dvd? and how was for you sing for first time with Necromesis and have you the chance to talk with ex Necromesis singer? 

We like to shoot our presentations, is a way to evaluate and evolve constantly. Our priority now is the release of a full lenght, but in the future we would like to make a DVD. As for my entry for the Necromesis was a big surprise, I always followed the band as a fan, but I never imagined that one day would be invited to the band. Daniel (guitarist) invited me and went very well. I never had much contact with former vocalist, is certainly not an easy mission take his place in a band on which it was lead singer for many years, but the public received me very well, I'm having a great support.

You told me before this interview, you are very friend with Maysa Rodrigues (Cauterization) and Luenya "Van Ripper" Moura (Demonized Legion), but how goes the idea of make a band toguether? and have you the chance to talk with them?
Maysa and Luenya are my friends and great musicians! I have more contact with Maysa (we live in the same state), and I hope it she can make a contribution on our Full! Unfortunately we live so far away (as I said, Brazil is a very big country, if I were traveling by car it would take a day or two to get up to Luenya), in the future may be an idea for a project with them, but unfortunately a band is currently not feasible because of distances. There are a negotiation with a producer who wants a concert Necromesis and Cauterization together, but is not yet confirmed.

I hope the release of the release of first full lenght, but have you a message to Necromesis fans?
We are also looking forward to this release and we are doing with every possible special treat. It will be a very special album for us, we hope you like what we're doing! Thank you very much for the interview, always count on us!
