Entrevista a Felix Castañeda de NWD

Bienvenido de nuevo Félix, a Arsenal Del Metalero, para mí es un gusto saber que la banda se mantenga en pie de lucha, y claro saber que han crecido, especialmente ahora que han fichado con un sello internacional para relanzar su primer ep: "PRESS START TO TRY AGAIN" ¿cómo fue fichar con este sello? ¿tienen contrato para lanzar más material? 
Amigo Luis! Un placer de nuevo estar respondiendo una de tus entrevistas, la noticia llego en un momento inesperado para la banda,  cuando todo fue tomando forma nos llenó de mucha alegría y bastante energía para seguir dándole fuerza a la bestia N.W.D. Es increíble palpar que tu esfuerzo se ha hecho valer y ha llegado a parar bien lejos. Ahorita estamos en el gran proceso de composición de nuestro álbum, con cierta presión para superar el ‘Press Start……………….’ Si comenzamos a grabar este año posiblemente salga con Hota Reckords. 

Es curioso cuando una banda ficha con un sello usualmente es para lanzar una nueva producción ¿pero por qué relanzar: "PRESS START TO TRY AGAIN"? y cuéntame de esos dos temas que vendrán de bonus tracks ¿por qué no fueron incluidos en la edición original? 
Hota Reckords nos ofreció sacar un ‘SPECIAL DIE HARD EDITION’ + 2 bonus Tracks y mercancía para N.W.D. nos pareció un buen trato relanzar el EP con sello estadounidense y aceptamos, con la idea de darle más proyección, terminar de exprimirlo pero a lo grande, los dos bonus tracks ‘Game Addiction’ y ‘Violence’ son parte de la edición especial del EP, una idea totalmente de ellos , para nosotros fue montarnos en el Delorean y viajar atrás en el tiempo, recuperar estos dos temas que se grabaron cuando éramos ‘Epidia’ (2007, 2011)  fue una experiencia bastante agradable y llena de risas. Incluirlos en el EP original no nos pasó nunca por la cabeza.

Ustedes contienen en sus líricas mensajes políticos y cargados de mucha rebeldía haciendo honor a su nombre New World Disorder (Nuevo Desorden Mundial), pero como sabes Venezuela está pasando por una crisis económica y social ¿cómo esto está afectando a la escena venezolana o a las mismas bandas que como ustedes están saliendo fuera de sus fronteras?
La escena venezolana se mantiene viva, cada organizador en cualquier estado de nuestro país lucha diariamente para dar conciertos de buena talla, lo realmente difícil esta en nuestra situación económica, complicando las grabaciones o viajes para asistir a un estado. Pero bueno, mente positiva ¿no? 

En la primera pregunta que pregunte acerca de si en el contrato tienen incluido lanzar más material ¿están considerando grabar nuevos temas? y ¿para cuándo tendrían pensado lanzar un álbum? 
Bueno, como antes te dije, ahorita estamos en proceso de composición, trabajando duro en cada tema y lyric, manteniendo un sonido similar pero más rápido. Aun no tenemos fecha precisa para entrar al estudio, pero de alguna manera lo informaremos en nuestras redes sociales. 

La banda ha sufrido la salida de un miembro que participo en la grabación del ep: "PRESS START TO TRY AGAIN", pero del mismo modo ingreso un nuevo miembro a la banda ¿por qué su bajista Giuliano Lossio salió de la banda? y ¿cómo es que ingreso Neil Chávez en su reemplazo?
Nuestro hermano y gran amigo Giuliano Lossio salió de la banda por motivos personales, pero aún se mantiene muy cerca de nosotros, quizá participe en el álbum ayudándonos con las voces. Neil otro gran amigo y hermano, siempre ha sido parte de la banda, desde Epidia, ayudándonos en varios conciertos que no se nos llegaron a dar en ese tiempo. Esta vez entro definitivamente aportando su toque especial para N.W.D. 

Para concluir esta entrevista ¿tienes algún mensaje para los seguidores de tu banda y lectores del web?
Gracias realmente a todas esas personas que han estado atentos a cualquier noticia, que han comprado nuestro material, que han asistido a todo nuestros shows con mucho DISORDER! Ustedes son nuestra energía para seguir haciendo música y mucho THRASH METAL!  Gracias por ser parte del NEW WORLD DISORDER! Entrevista a Anders Schultz de Unleashed

"...Cada "dios" Vikingo es un símbolo de algo de nosotros, en lugar del clásico "dios"..."

Hails Anders, es un  gusto entrevistarte, la banda lanzará este 24 de Abril el nuevo álbum titulado: "Dawn of the Nine" ¿por qué este título para este álbum? ya que exactamente este álbum tiene 10 canciones, así que ¿cual es el concepto detrás de este álbum?
Hails! El placer es mío! Sí, por supuesto que lo haremos! El concepto del álbum empieza exactamente donde terminó el anterior álbum, Odalheim,. Y se mueve hacia adelante a partir de ahí. Es el " Amanecer de los Nueve", que en sí mismo son los nueve rasgos que un guerrero va a necesitar en el futuro para sobrevivir, en fin.

Sabes, me gusta el arte para este álbum, pero ¿qué significa la "runa" escrita con fuego sobre la piedra en la portada de este álbum? y ¿quien dio la idea para la portada de este álbum?
La obra salió muy bien a lo que pensamos y simboliza totalmente la batalla en la que comienza el álbum. Fue nuestra idea en la que hemos trabajado juntos con el artista para convertirlo en lo que es. El símbolo es uno que Johnny había ocurrido como parte del concepto. Combina las runas para "fuerza" y "un día nuevo / amanecer" y va en todas direcciones diferentes ya que tendrá esto en todas las direcciones en la vida.

Me olvidaba preguntarte, ¿cómo fueron las sesiones de grabación para este álbum? y ¿cómo fue para ti regresar a los estudios para grabar con Unleashed después de 3 años?
Fueron muy buenos y también resultó muy bien. Si quieres comparar esto con el último álbum, creo que hemos logrado lo que nos propusimos hacer, que este en cada nivel. Fue genial volver a entrar en el estudio en realidad. Personalmente creo que puede ser un poco estresante a veces, pero esta vez el flujo fue genial y para mí, al menos, una de las mejores grabaciones de la historia.

¿Qué equipo utilizaste para reproducir y grabar este nuevo disco? y ¿crees que el equipo que una banda utiliza para tocar y grabar un nuevo álbum ayuda en el sonido y la sentimiento de tocar las canciones?
Bueno para mi es el mismo equipo he usado más o menos la misma que la de los últimos álbumes. A excepción de tal vez algunos platillos que han sido cambiados a cabo. Nunca he sido de esos uno para conseguir un determinado tambor o platillo para tener un determinado sonido. Es un poco más rock and roll (risas) ... Golpea esa mierda y va a sonar bien!

Unleashed es una banda de siempre hablan de los vikingos y sus mitos y son acreditados como la primera banda de death metal en el mundo en escribir canciones sobre los vikingos, pero como usted sabe existe una religión llamada: Ásatrú, y algunos miembros de la banda lleva una collar Mjolnir, por lo que mi pregunta es ¿están algunos miembros de Unleashed inmersos en esta religión? y ¿cuál es tu opinión sobre la religión Asatru?
Yo diría que no. Pero, naturalmente, no solo nos hemos inspirado en nuestros antepasados si no en los cuentos de antaño y la sabiduría del pasado, pero por supuesto Asatru tienen nuestro respeto. Sin embargo, es todo acerca de cómo se defina cosas. Nuestra misión es la de las tradiciones y valores de los vikingos y que es donde ponemos nuestros esfuerzos. No me etiqueto en parte de una religión. Es más una forma de vida. Tradiciones y un conjunto de valores a vivir en la batalla de la vida.

Anders ¿cuál es tu historia favorita de la mitología vikinga? o ¿que mito vikingo o dios vikingo te sientes identificado?
Cada "dios" Vikingo es un símbolo de algo de nosotros, en lugar del clásico "dios". Por ejemplo, Thor, con quien me gusta identificar mis esfuerzos en la vida  Es la encarnación personal de un símbolo de fuerza, coraje y espíritu de lucha. (entre otros). En otras palabras; tiene algunas de las habilidades que realmente se necesita para ser un guerrero en la batalla eterna de la vida ... y en este mundo asqueroso que vivimos. Así que al proclamar Hail Thor! O por Thor voy a lograr esto o aquello ... ..tienen para mí mismo, y tal vez otros ... una mejora a la acción que estoy o estamos a punto de emprender.

En el pasado el álbum: "Odalheim", Unleashed toco una canción llamada: "Rise Of The Maya Warriors", y algunas partes de estas canciones tienen letras en español (mi lengua materna), así que ¿por qué Unleashed estuvieron interesados en realizar una canción sobre la Mayas y especialmente cantar en español?
En primer lugar tenemos que dar las gracias a nuestro buen amigo Roberto de Infinitum Obscure para la lección de español. La canción "Rise Of The Maya Warriors" es una pequeña parte (o capítulo) del libro "Odalheim". Johnny ha estado trabajando durante muchos años. El álbum Odalheim es una historia y sobre las aventuras de los guerreros del Midgard y pruebas en un mundo futuro. (Que llamamos Odalheim). Ahora, en un determinado tiempo y lugar en esta historia, viajan a través del mar abierto a unirse con los Hammer Batallions en Vinland (hoy en dia Norte América) y la búsqueda continúa con sus amigos y aliados en Centroamérica ... los guerreros allí ya tenían un levantamiento contra el Cristo Blanco ... por lo que nuestros esfuerzos pueden combinar fácilmente y nuestros ejércitos se unieron en contra de la opresión.

El Viking Metal en estos días es muy popular, muchas bandas aparecieron, pero ¿cuál es tu opinión acerca del crecimiento del Viking Metal en estos últimos años?
Bueno, de hecho ha crecido, supongo. A mí me parece que hoy en día tiene lo suyo como un género dentro del metal. Por supuesto, algunas (bandas) son mejores, algunas (bandas) son peores, pero es interesante ahora que este género, tenga estilos diferentes y estén bajo un mismo techo por así decirlo. De cualquier manera, lo hacemos a nuestra manera. Pero desde que éramos muy jóvenes para hacerlo, y uno de los primeros en actualmente hacerlo es, por supuesto, es un honor ser fuente de inspiración para otros tal vez.

¿Están pensando la banda girar para promocionar el nuevo álbum? y desde 1995 la alineación de la banda es estable ¿cuál es el secreto de Unleashed para mantener una alineación continua por años?
Sí vamos a ver después de que el álbum salga. En primer lugar me imagino es centrarse en los festivales de verano y tal. Pero espero nos encontraremos con algunas opciones de gira después del verano. En cuanto a la line up, yo pienso es más que nada ya que todos tenemos un objetivo común lo que nos esforzamos. No hay muchas discusiones acerca de lo que queremos lograr. Así como nos llevamos bastante bien ... sobre todo (risas) ...

Para terminar con esta entrevista ¿tienes un mensaje a los fans de Unleashed y lectores de Arsenal Del Metalero?

Interview to Anders Schultz of Unleashed

Hails Anders is a nice pleasure interview you, the band will release in April 24th the new album entitled: "Dawn of the Nine" why this title for this album? and exactly this album have 10 tracks, so what is the concept behind for this album? 
Hails! The pleasure is mine! Yes indeed we will! The concept of the album starts exactly where the previous album, Odalheim, ended. And moves forward from there. It is the "Dawn Of The Nine", which in itself is the nine traits a warrior will need in the future to survive, in short.

You know, I like the art for this album, but what means the "rune" wroten in fire over the stone in the cover of this album? and who give the idea for the cover of this album? 
The artwork came out great we think and totally symbolizes the battle where the album starts. It was our idea which we worked together with the artist to make it into what it is. The symbol is one that Johnny had come up with as part of the concept. It combines the runes for "strenght" and "a new day/dawn" and it goes in all different directions as you will need this in all directions in life.

I was forgetting ask you, how was the recording sessions for this album? and how was for you return to studios to record with Unleashed after 3 years? 
They went very well and also turned out very well. If you would compare this to the last album i think we have achieved what we set out to do, which is to up it on every level. It was great to get back in the studio actually. Personally i think it can be a bit stressful sometimes but this time the flow was great and for me at least one of the best recordings ever.

What equipment do you used to play and record this new album? and do you think the equipment a band use to play and record a new album helps in the sound and feeling to play the songs? 
Well as for my equipment i used pretty much the same as for the last few albums. Except for maybe some cymbals that have been changed out. Ive never been much one to get a certain drum or cymbal for a certain sound. Its a bit more rock n roll approach (laughs)...just hit the shit hard and it will be good!  

Unleashed is a band always talk about the vikings and their mithologies and is credited like the first death metal band in the world in write songs about the vikings, but like you know exist a religion called: Ásatrú, and some members of the band wears a Mjolnir necklace, so my question is are some members of Unleashed involved in this religion? and what is your opinnion about Asatru religion? 
I would say no. But naturally we draw inspiration not only from our forefathers tales of old and wisdom of the past but of course Asatru have our respect. However, it is all about how you define things. Our mission is the Viking traditions and values and that is where we put our efforts. I wouldn’t label that as a religion. More a way of life. Traditions and a set of values to live by in the battle of life.

Anders what is your favorite story in viking mithology? or what viking mith or viking god do you feel identified? 
Every Viking ”god” is a symbol of something to us, rather than a classical ”god” type charachter. For example, Thor….whom I like to identify my efforts in life with. Is the personal embodiment of a symbol for strength, Courage and fighting spirit. (among others). In other words; some of the skills you really need to be a warrior in the eternal battle of life….and in this filthy world we live in. So by proclaiming Hail Thor! Or By Thor I will accomplish this or that…..I have to myself, and perhaps others…enhanced the action I am about to undertake.

In the past album: "Odalheim", Unleashed plays a song called: "Rise Of The Maya Warriors", and some parts of this songs have lyrics in spanish (my mother language), so why Unleashed was interested in performed a song about the Mayas and specially sing in spanish? 
First of all we need to thank our good friend Roberto in Infinitum Obscure for the lesson in Spanish on that one. The song “rise of the Maya warriors” is a small part (or chapter) of the book “Odalheim” Johnny has been working on for many years now. The entire album Odalheim is a storyline and about the Midgard Warriors adventures and ordeals in a future world. (that we call Odalheim). Now, at a certain time and place in this story, they travel across the open sea to join with the Hammer Battalions in Vinland (nowdays NorthAmerica) and the quest continues to their friends and allies in Central America…the warriors there already had an uprising against White Christ…so our efforts easily combined and our armies banded together against the oppression.

Viking Metal in this days is very popular many bands appeared, but what is your oppinion about the grow up of viking metal in this last years? 
Well it has indeed grown i guess. To me i think it nowadays holds its own as a genre within metal. Of course some is better some is worse, but its interesting now that in this genre, differents styles are under one roof so to speak. Either way, we do it our way. But since we were very early to do so, and one of the first to actaully do it it's of course honoring to be inspirational to others perhaps.

Is the band thinking in tour to promote the new album? and since 1995 the line up of the band is stable so what is the secret have Unleashed to keep a solid line up? 
Yeah we will see after the album comes out. First i guess is to focus on summer festivals and such. But hopefullly we will find some touring options after the summer. As for the line up, i thinkj it's mostly since we all have a mutual goal which we strive towards. There are not much dissagreaments about what we want to accomplish. As well as we get along quite well...mostly (laughs)...

To end with this interview do you have a mesasage to Unleashed fans and Arsenal Del Metalero readers?

Entrevista a Mike Heller de Fear Factory

"...Las canciones de "The Industrialist" son mucho más difíciles de tocar que cualquiera de las otras canciones de Fear Factory..."

Hola Mike es para mí un verdadero placer entrevistarte, tu eres el baterista de Fear Factory, ¿cómo es para ti tocar con Burton C Bell y Dino Cazares? y ¿cuáles son las nuevas sorpresas que tiene Fear Factory para este año?
Es un placer para mí también! Tocar con Fear Factory ha sido una gran experiencia para mí, y es muy divertido tocar con una banda con la que crecí escuchando. Si me hubieran dicho un día cuando tenía 13 años de edad que iba a estar tocando con Fear Factory, yo nunca lo hubiera creído! Este año vamos a lanzar un nuevo álbum, y vamos a estar muy ocupados haciendo turismo en todo el mundo.

Algunas personas van a querer saber ¿cómo se te dio la convocatoria para ser el baterista de Fear Factory?
En el 2012 Fear Factory fueron probando muchos bateristas, y tuvieron problemas para encontrar el más adecuado. Shaun Glass de Broken Hope y The Bloodline, que es un muy buen amigo de Fear Factory estaba tratando de ayudarles a encontrar un baterista. Se puso en contacto Corey y Nick de Trivium para preguntar si tenían alguna recomendación, y les hablaron de mí. Shaun luego me contactó en su casa en Nueva York y me pidió que hiciera un vídeo de la canción "Fear Campaign". Nunca había escuchado esa canción antes, así que empecé a escucharla y aprenderla. Dos horas más tarde le envié Shaun un vídeo de mí mismo tocando la canción. A la mañana siguiente recibí una llamada telefónica de Dino, quien me pidió que aprendiera "Zero Signal" y "Linchpin", y me dijeron que iban a volar a Los Angeles para una audición. El día después de que yo estaba en Los Angeles para audicionar con la banda. John Sankey (Devolved, The Devil You Know) estaba allí para ayudar durante las audiciones del baterista porque él conoce todas las partes, y él acababa de ayudar a programar los tambores para el álbum "The Industrialist", que había terminado, pero no publicado aún . Así que después de la audición me quedé en Los Ángeles por la noche, y luego volé a casa en Nueva York la mañana siguiente. Cuando aterricé en Nueva York, mi amigo Gavin Parsons (Whitechapel) me recogió en el aeropuerto, y como íbamos en coche del aeropuerto, Dino me llamó y me dijo que me dieron el concierto! Así que volví a casa, empaqué todas mis cosas, y luego Gavin me llevó al aeropuerto al día siguiente para volar de regreso a Los Ángeles para los ensayos. Dos semanas más tarde estábamos de gira, y toque mi primer show con Fear Factory en Chile. Sin Shaun, Corey, Nick, Sankey y Gavin no estaría tocando con Fear Factory!

En el 2012 Fear Factory tocaron en una mini gira sudamericana, Fear Factory tocó en Argentina y en el Gillmanfest en Venezuela ¿Qué opinas acerca de la escena Sudamericana? y ¿Fear Factory tiene en mente regresar a Sudamérica y visitar para tocar de nuevo en esta parte del continente? y ¿cómo fue para ti tocar en Gillmanfest?
Me encanta la escena sudamericana! Los fans son tan apasionados por la música, y siempre es increíble tocar allí. Creo que América del Sur es, posiblemente, el continente más metalero en el mundo! Fear Factory sin duda va a estar tocando en América del Sur, y es de esperar Argentina de nuevo tan pronto como sea posible. Gillmanfest es un festival increíble! Fue muy divertido para tocar con tanta gente emocionada, y todo el mundo fue muy agradable y servicial con nosotros los extranjeros!

Me gustaría saber si Fear Factory ¿trabajará en un nuevo álbum? y ¿?si están trabajando en una nueva, cómo va el día de grabación?
Sí, el nuevo álbum está casi listo! Grabé todos los tambores en dos días en NRG Studios en Los Angeles. Fue muy divertido! Burton está acabando sus voces para el álbum en los próximos días, y después irá a la mezcla / masterización.

En el último álbum Fear Factory Dino Cazares programo los tambores, pero ¿cual fue lo difícil fue para ti tocar en las baterías de las canciones del último álbum en vivo? (tu sabes la batalla del hombre contra la máquina)
En realidad, las canciones de "The Industrialist" son mucho más difíciles de tocar que cualquiera de las otras canciones de Fear Factory. El programa de tambores no necesita brazos y piernas para tocar esas partes, pero yo soy solo un humano, así que sólo puedo intentar mi mejor esfuerzo para tocar con ellos. El hombre contra la máquina, pero en ese álbum, la máquina ganó!

Me gustaría saber es ¿cómo manejas tu tiempo para tocar en muchas bandas? y ¿cómo puedes recordar todos los sonidos de las canciones de tus bandas? apuesta es difícil
Gestionar mi tiempo es muy difícil! Fear Factory me mantiene de gira una gran parte del tiempo, pero en cuanto salimos de gira, trato de volver a casa a Nueva York y tocar con mis otras bandas. He estado en malignidad durante casi 12 años, y me encanta tanto que voy a hacer lo que tengo que hacer para poder tocar con ellos! Ya casi hemos terminado de escribir el nuevo álbum, y estoy muy emocionado de grabar! También tengo una banda llamada We Of Worms que daremos a conocer un poco de nuestra música loca pronto. Esas dos bandas son muy complejas y requieren todas mis habilidades para ser capaz de tocar las canciones. Me encanta la música complicada desafiante y super técnica! También me encanta hacer trabajo de sesión, y tocar todo tipo de diferentes estilos de música. En realidad, es fácil para mí recordar aquellas partes alocadas porque siempre están cambiando y por lo general rítmicamente complejo. También ayuda por que las escribí yo mismo! Escribir música es mi parte favorita en el mundo, y es algo natural, lo que hace que parezca fácil de recordar cuando toco las partes de nuevo. Es mucho más difícil para mí recordar partes de Fear Factory porque yo no las escribo.

Bien Mike, te deseo buena suerte, ¿ tienes algunas palabras o mensaje para tus fans de todo el mundo?
Para los fans, espero verlos a todos muy pronto, y les agradezco mucho por su apoyo! Estoy eternamente agradecido a todos ustedes!

Interview to Mike Heller of Fear Factory

Hello Mike is for me a real pleasure to do an interview with you, you are the drummer of Fear Factory, how is for you play with Burton c Bell and Dino Cazares? and what are the new surprises have Fear Factory for this year?
It’s a pleasure for me too!  Playing with Fear Factory has been a great experience for me, and it is so much fun to play with a band that I grew up listening to.  If you would have told me when I was 13 years old that I would be playing with Fear Factory one day, I would never have believed it!  This year we are going to release a new album, and we will be very busy touring all over the world.

Some people will want to know how was you called to be the drummer of Fear Factory? 

In 2012 Fear Factory were trying out many drummers, and having trouble finding the right one.  Shaun Glass from Broken Hope and The Bloodline, who is a very good friend to Fear Factory was trying to help them find a drummer.  He contacted Corey and Nick from Trivium to ask if they had any recommendations, and they told him about me.  Shaun then contacted me at home in New York and asked me to make a video of the song “Fear Campaign”.  I had never heard that song before, so I started listening to it and learning it.  Two hours later I sent Shaun a video of myself playing the song.  The next morning I got a phone call from Dino, who asked me to learn “Zero Signal” and “Linchpin”, and told me that they would fly my to Los Angeles to audition.  The day after that I was in Los Angeles auditioning for the band.  John Sankey (Devolved, The Devil You Know) was there to help during the drummer auditions because he knows all of the parts, and he had just helped to program the drums for “The Industrialist” album, which was finished, but not released yet.  So after the audition I stayed in Los Angeles for the night, and then flew home to New York the next morning.  When I landed in New York, my friend Gavin Parsons (Whitechapel) picked me up from the airport, and as we were driving away from the airport, Dino called me and told me that I got the gig!  So I went back home, packed all of my stuff, and then Gavin drove me to the airport the next day to fly back to Los Angeles for rehearsals.  Two weeks later we were on tour, and I played my first show with Fear Factory in Chile. Without Shaun, Corey, Nick, Sankey and Gavin I would not be playing with Fear Factory!

In 2012 Fear Factory played in a mini southamerican tour, Fear Factory played in Argentina and the gillmanfest in Venezuela What do you think about the South American Scene? and Fear Factory have in mind return to southamerica and visit and play again in this part of the continent? and how was for you play in Gillmanfest?

I absolutely love the South American scene!  The fans are so passionate about music, and it is always amazing to play there.  I think that South America is possibly the most metal continent in the world! Fear Factory is definitely going to be playing in South America, and hopefully Argentina again as soon as possible.  Gillmanfest was an amazing festival!  It was so much fun to play for so many excited people, and everybody was very nice and helpful to us foreigners!

I would like to know if Fear Factory will work in a new full lenght? and if is working in a new one, how goes the recording days?

Yes, the new full-length album is almost done! I recorded all of the drums in two days at NRG Studios in Los Angeles.  It was a lot of fun!  Burton is just finishing up his vocals for the album in the next few days, and then it will go to mixing/mastering.

In the last Fear Factory album Dino Cazares programmed the drums, but how difficult was for you difficult play the drums of the songs of last album in live? (you know is the man vs the machine)

Actually, the songs from “The Industrialist” are much more difficult to play than any of the other Fear Factory songs.  The drum program did not need arms and legs to play those parts, but I am only human, so I can only try my best to play them.  Man vs. machine, but on that album, the machine won!  

I would like to know is how you manage your time for play in many bands? and how can you remember all the beats of the song of your bands? I bet is difficult?

Managing my time is very difficult!  Fear Factory keeps me on tour a lot of the time, but as soon as we get off tour, I try to go back home to New York and play with my other bands.  I’ve been in Malignancy for almost 12 years, and I love it so much that I will do whatever I have to do to be able to play with them!  We are almost finished writing the new album, and I’m very excited to record it!  I also have a band called We Of Worms that will be releasing some crazy music soon.  Those two bands are extremely complex and require all of my abilities to be able to play the songs.  I love complicated, challenging, super technical music!  I also love doing session work, and playing all sorts of different styles of music.  It is actually easy for me to remember those crazy parts because they are always changing and usually rhythmically complex.  It also helps that I wrote them myself!  Writing music is my favorite thing in the world to do, and it comes naturally, which makes it seem easy to remember when I play those parts again.  It is a lot harder for me to remember Fear Factory parts because I did not write them.
