Entrevista a Sorrows Path

Hails chicos, bienvenidos a Arsenal Del Metalero, tengo que decir que me gusta el nuevo álbum, es realmente impresionante, con buenos riffs y cambios en todas las canciones, y todo estos tracks son la perfección, así que felicitaciones por este segundo álbum, mis amigos , pero para empezar esta entrevista ¿cómo fue el lanzamiento de este nuevo álbum? y ¿que dificultades tuvó la banda para lanzar el álbum? y ¿qué problemas tuvo Sorrows Path con el anterior label que estaban fichados? 
Hola Luis y Arsenal Del Metalero! Encantado de hablar contigo otra vez! Muchas gracias por sus amables palabras sobre nuestro nuevo material! Estamos muy contentos y satisfechos de que este álbum este finalmente lanzado! El único problema era que nuestro ex label no dio a conocer el álbum en el 2013 como habían prometido, así que tuvimos que buscar otro label ...

Actualmente la banda firmó con el label: Iron Shield Records, pero ¿cómo fue buscar un nuevo sello? y ¿cómo estuvo contactarlos y trabajar con este nuevo label para el lanzamiento de este álbum? y ¿cual fue el número de copias lanzado? 
Estábamos en la búsqueda de un nuevo label en los primeros meses del 2014 y después de tener tres proposiciones de labels en el extranjero, hemos seleccionado a Iron Shield Records, porque creíamos que este label era el más confiable, nos ofrecieron una mejor oferta y este fue también de un sello alemán! Muy importante porque Alemania es un país fuerte donde se vive el metal ... El álbum cuenta con 800 copias físicas pero también hay una versión digital en muchas plataformas digitales de todo el mundo!

Este álbum contó con la participación de grandes músicos como: Edgar Rivera (ex Solitude Aeturnus) y el famoso Snowy Shaw (ex Therion, ex Dream Evil, ex King Diamond) ¿Cómo fue el trabajo con ellos a la distancia en la grabación de este disco? 
Todo ha ido muy suave; dos de ellos fueron a tiempo en todo - no tuvimos ningún problema en absoluto. Por supuesto, tenemos que mencionar que estábamos realmente conmovidos por el hecho de que los dos músicos que nos inspiraron mucho para formar la banda hace dos décadas, estaban en contacto con nosotros, incluso por la distancia, la grabación de la voz y guitarra del nuevo álbum de Sorrows Path!

El arte de este álbum es muy diferente a diferencia con el primer álbum de covers realizados por Spiros Antoniou, obviamente porque la portada de este segundo álbum fue hecho por Lisa Heschl, pero ¿que representa la lechuza en el concepto de este segundo trabajo? ¿Y cómo nació la idea del uso de esta ave enigmática para representar a "Doom Philosophy"? 
Spiros es un gran artista..uno de los mejores de Grecia y único en su clase. Pero queríamos probar algo diferente en este álbum. Elegimos a Lisa de una larga lista de nuevos artistas, nos gusto mucho y fue divertido trabajar con ella! El búho en el diseño de la portada, es un símbolo de la sabiduría en la antigua Grecia y en muchas culturas orientales, está vinculado con la muerte también. Así que aquí tienes la conexión!

Por cierto, ¿por qué titularon este álbum como "Doom Philosophy"? y ¿que es la "Filosofía Doom" para tu banda Sorrows Path? 
Si hablamos de las letras, se basan en la filosofía de la muerte ... hablan sobre el ser humano que entiende sus límites mortales y descarta cualquier deseo, como la fama, la gloria y los bienes mundanos. Y allí nos encontramos con la filosofía de la muerte que guía a todos los seres humanos para su salvación. Ya habíamos desarrollado el dolor humano en nuestras dos obras anteriores, por lo que la filosofía de la muerte trae la salvación deseada.

En todo este tiempo después del lanzamiento del primer álbum, ¿qué lecciones de vida aprendió la banda? y ¿qué buenas experiencias puedes decir al respecto? 
Después de la grabación de nuestro primer full lenght, la lección que obtuvimos estaba siendo experimentada. Sabes para saber evitar los posibles errores y ser más sabios, si, por supuesto, manteniendo los ojos y la mente abierta y sin tener prejuicios! Lo mejor para nosotros llegó después de las grabaciones; el álbum fue vendido antes y la gente hablaba de una banda única que nació!

En la canción: Darkness hay una conversación sucia de un hombre con una prostituta, pero en ¿que se inspiró esta canción? 
(Risas), no realmente! Sólo algunas personas comunes como tu y nosotros expresan sus deseos mortales mientras que la muerte esta cada vez más y más cerca ... La canción "Darkness" habla acerca de la comunión, pero no queremos predicar nada, sólo queremos que los oyentes sienten la búsqueda gratuita acerca de su propias respuestas. Todos somos personas diferentes y diferentes vidas traen diferentes necesidades y pensamientos ...

Hails guys, welcome to Arsenal Del Metalero, I have to say I like the new album, is really awesome, with good riffs and changes in all the songs, and all this tracks are the perfection, so congratulations for this second release, my friends, but to start this interview how was the release of this new album? and what dificulties had the band to release the album? and what problems had sorrows path with the before label you was signed? 
Hello Luis and Arsenal Del Metalero! Nice to talk with you again! Thank you very much for your kind words about our new stuff! We are really happy and satisfied that this album is finally out! The only problem was that our ex label didn’t release the album in 2013 as they had promised, so we had to search for another label…

Actually the band is signed with the label: Iron Shield Records, but how was search a new label? and how was contact and work with this new label for the release of this album? and how many copies was released? 
We were in a search for a new label in the first months of 2014 and after having three propositions from labels abroad, we selected Iron Shield Records, because we believed that this label was the most reliable, they offered us the best deal and this was also a German label! Very important because Germany is a strong country where metal lives….The album is out in 800 physical copies but there is also a digital release in many digital platforms worldwide!

This album had the participation of great musicians like: Edgar Rivera (ex Solitude aeturnus) and the famous Snowy Shaw (ex Therion, ex Dream Evil, ex King Diamond) how was work with at distance in the recording of this recording? 
Everything went really smooth; both of them were on time in everything - we didn't have any problems at all. Of course, we have to mention that we were really moved about the fact that two musicians that inspired us so much to form the band two decades ago, were in contact with us, even by distance, recording vocals and guitar for the new Sorrows Path album!

The art of this album is very different at difference with the first cover album made by Spiros Antoniou, obviously because the cover of this second album was made by Lisa Heschl, but what represent the owl in the concept of this second work? And how born the idea of use this enigmatic bird to represent the “Doom Philosophy”? 
Spiros is a really great artist..the best in Greece and one of his kind. But we wanted to try something different in this album. We chose Lisa from a long list of new artists we really like and it was fun working with her!  The owl on the cover artwork, is a symbol of wisdom in Ancient Greece and in many eastern cultures, is linked with death as well. So here you have the connection!

By the way, why was entitled this album like "Doom Philosophy"? and what is the "Doom Philosophy" of your band Sorrows Path? 
If we speak about the lyrics, they are based on the philosophy of death…they talk about the human being that understands its mortal limits and discards any thin desires, like fame, glory and worldly goods. And there we meet with the philosophy of death that guides every human to his salvation. We had already developed the human pain in our two previous works, so the philosophy of death brings the desired salvation.

In all this time after the release of the first album, what lessons of life the band learned? and what good experiences can you tell about it? 
After the recordings of our first full length the lesson we got was getting experienced. You know how to avoid any possible mistakes and you are wiser if, of course, you keep your eyes and mind open without being prejudiced! The best thing for us came after the recordings; the album was soon sold out and the people talked about a unique band that was born!

In the song Darkness there is a dirty conversation of a man with a whore, but in what was inspired this song?
(Laughs), not really! Just some common people like you and us expressing their mortal desires while death is getting nearer and nearer…The song “Darkness” talks about communion but we don’t want to preach anything, we just want to leave the listeners feel free seeking about their own answers. We are all different people and different lives bring different needs and thoughts…
