Interview to Riccardo Costantino of Krigere Wolf

Welcome for second time Riccardo to Arsenal Del Metalero, but let me say congratulations for the release of this new album of your band, how was release it? and why this name of: "Sacrifice of Valaskiàlf"? I know is the title of one of the tracks, but why you choose this title like name of this new work?
Hails Luis! For me is a great pleasure to participate for the second time to support your cool webzine!Thank you very much, I’m very happy for the result that we have obtained. This second album has been released by Fallen Angels Productions, a South Korean black metal label, on the 1st February. Sacrifice to Valaskjàlf is a concept album, which talks about the enter of the Vikings Souls into the royal palace of the throne of Odin, where will be made human sacrifice in his honor, shedding the blood of the enemy to quench thirst the guardian wolves of the castle, surrounded by evil and by the presence of obscure shadows, possessed by the devil, on that night of terror and horror. The line up of this album is composed by me bass and voice and Francesco Bauso at the guitars, Riccardo Grechi as session members drummer, and Azmeroth (of the band Heretical) as “lead” guitar player session (live and studio). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HogBqsUq4Ww

When I knew the band, I see you had 3 members, actually are 2 guys in the band, what happened with the other member? and are you searching for a new member in the band? and the ex member had participation in this new production? and have you worked with a session guest member? 

The line up of this album is composed by me bass and voice and Francesco Bauso at the guitars, Riccardo Grechi as session members drummer, and Azmeroth (of the band Heretical) as “lead” guitar player session (live and studio). In the band’s photo of this album, we are only two members: me and Francesco Bauso, because the old drummer has decided (for various reasons that I am not here to enumerate) to leave the band, and then the “designers” and composers of all tracks on the album are only me and Francesco. As a result we were blown away and forced to change drummer. No, the ex drummer hasn’t partecipated to this new album. We have worked, moreover, with my great friends, Fab ArmedGod M. (of the band Deathwork and Fusion Limit) as backing vocals guest.

Tell me about the lyrics of this production, I was reading many of this lyrics are odes to some legends of the vikings, specially about kill, fight and sacrifice, but in what legends do you took inspiration to write it? 
The songwriting of this album, are concentrated to blasphemy, inherent to dissection of the slaves corpses, the prayers to the viking’s “father”, through demoniac rituals into the forests, marching into the fog, the frozen atmosphere from the breath of Yggdrasil’s roots, looking up at the full moon, shines the flame of Odin, the mind will cross the universe, riding the waves of the oceans will dominate the world, into the black seal, fire torches lit to celebrate the triumph of the swords and shields, inside the caves where you can smell the warm blood and the cold and the darkness never cease to exist. Wolves in feast for their father, dominant in the sacred battle in Ragnarok. The Valkyries will bring the winners into the black seal, the mountains will be glorified and rivers of blood will flow through the forests of the north, between the prayers and the mist of the night. Is perceptible the fact of all lyrics are fruit of my cult towards north mythology, occult, “nordic esoteric vision” , the vision of death, then sacrifice and vikings rituals.

Before to release this album, your band released the music video: "Glorification Of The Black Angels", how was work with your girlfriend to record this video? and have actually in mind record another music video to promote the music of this new album? 
Glorification of the black angels, for me, is one of the best songs of Krigere Wolf. I will, later on, to work on this song, again, to settle some arrangements, and offer it with a better sound and no longer so barbarous. Has been a great experience to work with Debora to this video. She is very ingenious and enterprising for this works. Sure, the collaboration will continue in the future, with she.

Who did the art of this album? I have to say it represent very good the scene of the lyric of "Sacrifice of Valaskiàlf", so is a good font cover, but I see it have 3 presentations, one is in color red and other in color blue and other in darker blue, why do you did that? 
The original draws of the artwork, front and back cover, are 2 paints, oil on canvas. The author is Debora Scarfia, great sicilian artist, in graphics art, pictures, art of engraving. She managed very well to give a sense of full album. The 3 presentations, red, blue and with, are only special jewel case, in limited editions, has been released by the idea of our label Fallen Angels Productions.

Are you thinking tour with your band to promote this album? and how do you see the conditions to make a tour in italy in this days? 
We are preparing a live (March 8th) in our city, with Horrid (a very important death metal legend in Italy), and probably we will do some date in the north Italy, but do not yet know the details.
